I'll join in on the fun. Only thing is, I haven't played Warhawk all that much yet. It's not that I don't like it, but that the game freezes every time I finish a round and it really pisses me off having to restart my PS3. Plus, I've got a massive backlog of games I've been trying to go through (and other games still to buy next month, like Uncharted and Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow).

I too shall lend my decent dogfighting/flamethrowering skills to the new clan. Seems almost like wang lasted 2 weeks and fizzled maybe my weird hours kept me from playing with the rest of the guys.
MistaCreepy and I had an awesome time last night dogfighting against each other. I can't wait to see us all working as a squadron to take out targets, etc.

My initial impressions of Warhawk were abit jarring especially after the majesty of CoD4 multiplayer ... with that said, I found that the game really grew on me ... I really like the wide open maps as well as the ability to play multiple game types (infantry, ground armour or flying warhawk) depending on what you feel like at the moment.
I wish there were more map types though, the game has a distinct "OMG WE NEED TO RELEASE THIS NOW" feeling to it with only 5 maps.
Despite this the flying combat in the game is really awesome ... and I think with a good clan it will be even better.
I've had a hard time jumping into this game due to the sheer amount of other online games, notably COD4, Gears of War (it still isn't boring!) and the newest FFXI expansion.
But since I'm squeezing in Ratchet and Clank into my playtime now, I'll probably get back into Warhawk as well. I just hate the lack of any real voice chatting going around, but count me in for the new clan (PSN: SOLDIER).
Hell, I might as well pick a hard copy of the game up. I woulda had this on the release date if the damn PSN would recognize my billing address. Gonna shell out the extra $20 bones tonight probably.
*Edit* I still won't be able to get the expansion pack when it drops though.
I'll add everyone when I get home in a few hours. Also, can anyone create games with more than like 8 players though? I think I tried to create a server once and it would only allow me something like 8 people. I guess that's cool for a bit because it would mean all PAers, but bah, that's so few! I've played 24/32 exclusively.

I could be wrong, but I seem to see a decent amount of empty hosted servers out there. Could always just dig into one of those.
I'm suprised at the large number of packed servers in this game. And having those dedicated servers is great.
Could it be because *gasp* the PS3 actually has a userbase?
It still needs a larger one. The few times I tried Tekken 5 online, it's either barren or hosted by people with shit connections. I don't know if the situation improved, but I really hate the matchmaking system (why do I have to wait in line!?).

Yeah, I always play dedicated server, and it's nice to know that at any point I can get into a full 32 person game.
And, yeah I suppose we could tap into someone else's hosted game. It'd be kind of funny for them to come back and realize their dedicated server has been taken over by a bunch of PAers.

I know this. I'm a part of it. it's just that the game has been out for awhile and I think this says something about its staying power. I haven't played resistance in awhile but I never had any problems finding packed servers in that either.

Dude I'm totally with you there. I just avoid this forum for any general PS3 discussion... SE+++ has a bitchin PS3 thread devoid of haters... its awesome.
Unfortunately UT3 already has a home on my PC so I don't think I'll be getting it for the PS3.

Never saw that thread in SE++. I'll have to go there a bit more often. And I don't know whether I'm buying UT3 yet and for what. Originally it was PS3 all the way, but now my girlfriend bought us a new computer, so I don't know... probably still PS3 since she's on the computer a lot.
I really need to start playing Warhawk again. EoJ just sucked up pretty much all of my play time.
EOJ, COD4, Civilization 4, UT3 and Warhawk are all competing for my attention... I'm giving precedence to warhawk since we're trying to rebuild the clan though.

This forum isn't nearly as bad as some but it's still hard to have any thread on the PS3 witout it derailing into a console pissing match. Game specific threads aren't bad though.

You really don't need voice communication for this game. I just like to socialize.
I really noticed the lack of voice communication too. But I think that a good clan might utilize voice communication in Warhawk more often, in order to pick targets to hit, and coordinate assaults.
At least I hope that's what will happen.

What wasn't mentioned, but should be included in the expansion because it was announced about a month ago, were 5 different small versions of maps. Badlands, for example, has its small map in the centre fortress. This expansion should also include a small map of the north/south outposts. I'll try and find the damn link again so I can explain it properly...
edit: Aha! its the V1.2 patch, which will be free Getting released sometime in December. Goddamn this game is awesome
