I'm particularly wondering that with snake. Having David Hayter in there would be so awesome.

That would be so awesome. It looks like this game is not gonna be a shy of awesome. So im definately gonna be expecting it. It would be awesome to see Princess Zelda speak.
It's too bad they didn't show off the adventure mode at E3, it's the only thing I could think of that could top the legendary TP reveal.

Holy shit, a story with each character developing AND after all their adventures!? Think about it! ALL of them are so ripe with material! I was thinking " oh its just a story mode where the charecters are created from here" not all of the universes colliding!. Jeez, i cant wait for snake to sneak into bowser's castle to save zelda from a giga bowser while link and mario are fighting meta knight on the roof, and star fox (yes the squadron, not just fox) and kirby are fighting the halberd in the skys above. And it takes place on zebes as its blowing up while yoshis are going around saving every one.
My brain, dick, heart, and soul all exploded just from reading that.

edit: and the FE heroes are fighting an army of zombie koopas and those purple things

Looks like the enemies in Adventure mode are also going to be assist trophies in the regular game, if the Hammer Bro here is anything to go by. I'm guessing Monday's update will be an enemy/assist trophy from one of the screenshots here.

One more thing, look at the floating turret pic, the one with samus. The purple thing is using the same charge beam! I bet those purps are here to steal the powers of the fighters and take over the world, while they are working for some group of people (who is that on the stand in front of link and yoshi?).

My only issue with the story is that in a sense, these aren't really the characters, but merely trophy representations who live to fight, and nothing else.

Aonuma: I’ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We’re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.
