flamethrower is quite likely, I can imagine fly for his up B, maybe working like final cutter or the butt-stomping moves, no good ideas for the last one though. I see what you mean about bowser-like-ness. Maybe fly could pound at an angle, rather than straight down? That would be cool.
Or maybe it could work like final cutter. But instead of that blue shockwave, have him tackle anything there, like skull bash and then land.
So more like Capt. Falcon's up B?
No. Imagine kirby doing an up b, but instead of the shockwave, have him imediantly skull bash.
One of his special moves could be Dragon Dance, perhaps forward B in that he performs a slash and bite combo like Marth and Roy.
That could work, or it could also work kinda like it does in Pokemon. Make him temporarily faster and stronger, but drain his stamina completely once it wears off.

Chen's idea is cooler :P
Could Charizard be a multi-jumper like kirby and the puffmaster? It can fly, after all. That might free up the up B move for something unexpected.

The Nintendoworld vid shows Meta Knight gliding. I imagine Charizard can do the same.
So if there were any doubts that sonic were in this game...
Unless you took the photo yourself I'm calling shopped. If you did, or even if you didn't but it isn't shopped, I think it's best buy's ad people making assumptions.
Those characters look an awful lot like stock images edited together.
Yeah but those are individual pokemon living on their own.
These are leashed pokemon being issued commands by the trainer.
Its different...somehow
No, they're leashed pokemon being issued commands by a leashed trainer. I don't think there's a fundamental difference, the trainer is just a middleman.
Also note the lighting on the characters in the image. Samus is lit from one side, Link is lit from the exact opposite. If that were real art from nintendo they would not be lit inconsistently. At the very least that shows that the image is not official art, and was either created independently by poorly informed Best Buy employees, or is fake.
Also, there should be an Ash costume where Squirtle wears sunglasses and is fuckawesome, Ivysaur is replaced with Bulbasaur and is fuckawesome, and Charizard doesn't pay any attention to your controls and will often avoid being called back.
what kind of pokemon battle is it if you can't switch
a stupid one, that's what kind
That way people can't fight with Charizard the whole time, then switch to Ivysaur so that it gets the KO instead.
As for fatigue, the other person has to deal with it too (I'm talking trainer vs. trainer).
but mirror matches could get pretty boring
I'm thinking that at the start of the life you can decide which pokemon you're using, it's just that's the only time you get to switch. But yeah, sadly it would end up a little bit limited.

Yea I know. Im saying the other two pokemon aren't with the trainer, only their pre-evovled versions.
His up B could be Seismic toss. Fly up, grab the first person he hits, then slam them downward.

I'd rather a Hydro Pump that he shoots straight down, propelling him upward.

Source?
Didn't the picture we dismiss look a little different? I mean, same images on the flyer, different angle/wrinkles.
We're going to have the best Pokemon battles ever now.
3 stock, no switching pokemon except at death, only one life per pokemon.
a stupid one, that's what kind
What about fatigue from using up stamina? You can't keep your pokes out too long or too short.
