Where do I go after Zangarmarsh? Nagrand or Terrokar?
I usually skip Terrokar cause I like Nagrand better.
Generally a good idea to skip Terrokar anyways to quest in Nagrand and run Auch instances to get Lower City rep up before getting rep from quests-only past Honored.
I'm not a huge fan of Terrokar in general, either, but I always find myself sucked in. I think Nagrand is a bit high for people fresh out of Zangarmarsh (maybe not rogues since they can solo +5s or whatever); it was for both my priests anyway. So I started Terrokar determined to only do the easy starter quests in the North (like the diseased druid camp), but I just got inexorably drawn into the quests farther south because of the way the quest chains flowed.
Now that's got me thinking about leveling to 80. I managed to somehow level my main priest to 70 as holy all the way, but it was pretty slow and mildly painful (made more bearable by Surge of LoL); then I went back through and leveled up a second priest with a full-shadow spec, and it was just ridiculously easy. Now I'm somewhat dreading leveling up my main priest as holy from 70 to 80, but I've stuck with it so long, I don't want to give in to shadow now...
How many priests have you made now? I can think of at least 5 or 6.
Well let's see...
Rhiannonn -- my first priest evar
Yseult -- my NE shadow ho (who is still stuck at 54 or so)
Cassandre -- the priest formerly known as Rhiatard (sitting in Nagrand at 66)
Chrysothemis -- my Draenei priest (I think sitting at around 55 or so)
Artemesia -- the would-be Fear Ward-bot (still at 41 because dorfs are ugly with a capital UGH!)
Erigeneia -- blood elf priest I made because they're purty. I don't think she's old enough to leave the nooby zone yet.
and of course various other priests I've rolled for tourist reasons and later deleted.
When I come back for WotLK, I'm gonna level up a druid and paladin too. It's ridiculous what Holy-spec paladins can do in TBC, especially with the right gear. And I want to be able to morph into a bird.
I never found it really difficult or "tempting" to simply level as Shadow from 60-70, heal in instances, then switch back to Holy at level cap. The only problem was my lack of a healing set from all the raiding I never did, which wouldn't apply for the next expansion, since I have all this great raid healing stuff.

Well, you know how we can't pronounce Cthulhu's name, because we can't even comprehend the mechanics of the language in which he was named?...
I know some people mentioned the strange race choices for the premade characters on the PTR, but has anyone mentioned some of the truly bizarre gear selections for those premades?
I mean, Priests start with a +stamina/dodge/defense rating tank ring as well as the trinket from ZG (O_o). Mages have the +70 healing trinket from Black Morass. All Gnomes start with the epic raptor from Mandokir in ZG as well as the Keepers of Time tabard (which isn't even normally obtainable!). Shaman start with a +damage shield, but no +damage one-hander as well as non-set epic +damage and +healing leggings despite the fact that they have all three sets of T6 in their inventories.
I'm just... baffled.

Can anyone recommend me a good server to start a new character on? Played on Sargeras before I took a break but after looking at the realm forum dosen't seem like the best place to make a new character.
I uh... I was in Panda Attack on Dark Iron... What? They rolled their guild first. Though I only ever got that Shaman to 27 before, I actually went and hit 28 on them today just because I was bored. I really don't have a set server to play on at the moment so I dont know if I'm even gonna continue playing WoW, plenty of other games coming out in the next 4 months.
The problem with Dark Iron and Sargeras is that allot of the people who post on the forum play on those very realms
We use this forum to talk about some of the misadventures we have while playing the game
I really would just pick a realm at random and see what it's like you can fall back on the D.I./Sargeras if you feel that some of the realms you tried out were not worth it
How is that a problem, exactly? Seems more like a bonus to me, unless you really hate the people here. In which case, we're probably not the first people you should be asking for advice on which realm to roll on.
My vote: Anywhere but Greymane. Zip will back me up on this.

It's not that I hate anyone on the forum, I just feel that you are not exploring all the options you are given.
Why play with people you know? part of the fun of playing online games is to meet people outside of your circle of freinds and area.

Though that is an admirable idea in theory, in the practice of WoW, that is bordering on masochism. Sure you're likely to meet some cool people randomly in WoW, but the percentage of cool people versus drooling, unwashed fucktards is so miniscule that a needle in the haystack can't hold a candle to it. Personally, if I'd never joined the PA guild that was on Proudmoore Alliance, I probably would never have hit 60, because I would have just given up in the face of such overwhelming stupidity.
Oh yeah, roll anywhere but Proudmoore. I wouldn't go back to that piece of shit server even if they showed me the body of the gerbil that has been living inside it since Beta.

I made the very poor choice of playing on Windrunner where you just have to log on to see the over abundance of assholes and elitism
I would have payed to leave if I did not create so many alts, a $150 is far to expensive to think twice about
It's part of the reason why I made a mage on a pvp server but it was the Molten Core guild fight that made me run back to Windrunner
Part of the reason why I got to 70 on her so fast was the number of quests I had not cashed in {12} and the year+ of rested exp
So I have been shopping around for a realm to transfer to
It's really a surprise what asses I play with when I went to my first realm and saw the behavior of the players
So are there any recent mods to have come out that are good? I heard of some sort of combination of wowhead and a map mod that lets you see quest directions ingame.

Some kind of waypoint mod. Personally, I use LightHeaded with Cartographer. The waypoint feature works fine.
Ah. Yeah, I use Cartographer as well, and LightHeaded works peachy with it. I've already converted a couple of my friends in-game to using LH, after they tried it.

So, two-day downtime for my server (Kargath). I guess I can use the time to recover from the humiliation that was losing to a goddamned Frost mage 3 (three!) matches in a row in the Arena.

So. Someone who knows PvP. What items should I prioritize getting for for PvP set, and what items can fill in as stand ins? Also, do I get items now, or save honor/arena points for next season, while writing off buying anything from this season?
I questioned the PvP gear thing as well. And here is what I've surmised.
Spend your points now for upgrades.
In order to gain points more rapidly, you need to win more. Without the gear, you won't win more and will receive less points. So, getting gear now will most certainly help you now (more fun) and with next season (more points for new gear). If you don't get the gear now and just hoard points, you can buy a couple pieces of next season but will still be behind the gear curve overall. And what if they implement some sort of rank requirement for gear purchase; isn't that in the air on the forums?
I just got tired of wearing lvl 70 greens of Stamina.
Honor rewards, easy to attain if you enjoy time in battlegrounds.

Old man, family, works too hard, locked into a routine, but still plays with army men and video games.
If you want to play League of Legends, here is my refer a friend: So I get points
I feel like a noob asking something like this randomly, but has anybody done the quest in Blade's Edge (might be Horde only, I dunno) where you have to kill the moth larvae for their cocoons, and if you take too long, they hatch into moths and you don't get a cocoon drop?
How the fuck do you keep them from hatching? I did the quest on my fastest killer (mage), and she could only keep them from hatching about half the time. I don't know what the hell I'm going to do on my protection warrior or my warlock, or my paladin later on down the line.

Compare what you have to the arena gear and see what gives you the most upgrade for the points and get that first. Do the same for honor gear and just buy it in that order.
