Quick DS data transfer question

Does transfering WiFi data on the DS transfer the data for ALL games? Or just the game you initiated the transfer with?

I'm assuming it's just the connection data.

I believe it transfers across the board, kinda replacing that second part between the two ds' that makes the individual games friends codes.

When you buy a different DS ( I upgraded my Phat to a shiny Black Lite) you can transfer your wirless connedtion data between the two, kina like passing the torch on to a new generation. This lets you continue playing games on the new system without having to send everyone your new friends codes.

    -And-

the friends codes are paired between your game card and your NDS. So if you play animal crossing on 2 different ds's you'll actually have 2 friends codes.

Data transfer, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about, only allows you to play multiplayer games with someone who doesn't have that game, assuming the game supports such activity. As far as I know, you can't transfer personal settings, saved data files, or anything else.

Also the transfer doesn't leave any permanent files on the reciever's DS. They don't get to keep some bare-bones version of Robo Custom Arena, for example.

Thanks GOD you knew what I meant. It was a "quick" question and I didn't have time to explain..

But yes, I meant the WiFi friend code data. Shit, my DSL lost a button and I needed to replace it, so I'm assuming now that when I transfer the WiFi over, i won't need to re-generate FCs. Thanks
