Because he tried to lie about his role in the game and that could really mess up efficacy of good guy networks: acceptable reason.
Because he might absorb bad guy kill attempts ala grundlterror and be really frustrating to past and present bad guys: poor reason.
What I am saying is that ex-Death Eaters are grudge voting him, and bad guy grudges from old games aren't things we want to fall into step with.
