Holy hell. I'm surprised I can't hear campus from here. I hoped for Fiesta Bowl and the Illini got Roses. I can't wait for that game. Too bad it is practically a home game for USC.

Georgia was playing the best ball late but they couldn't even get to the championship game in their conference.

I have no problem with LSU being in the NC because I think they are the overall best team in the NCAA.

    Man fuck college football.

This is not the NCAA championship its the Big 12, PAC 10, SEC invitational.

Hawaii deservees a shot. They deserved to at least be in the fucking conversation.

I don't care if they lived in the WAC and had a weak schedule, Kansas had a weak fucking schedule but if they kept their run alive THEY would be in the championship game.

Hawaii not getting any respect just proves that if you are not in a premiere conference then you have no chance. the SEC, PAC 10 and Big 12 will ALWAYS take precedent. That goes for you too ACC and Big East. You all play second fiddle to these conferences , oh and NOTRE DAME. A team that routine plays all three service academies, this year they didn't play army - they played DUKE.

I hope the Warriors fucking WAIL on Georgia in some sort of obscene blowout win as a giant fuck you to the BCS aristocracy. This is what sucks about D1 football its so fucking biased, its set up so the powerhouses don't lose and even WHEN they all lose the lesser teams still get fucked out of their chances because they play a "weaker schedule" fuck that.

LSU's 2 losses were to unranked opponents. LSU has been just skating by all fucking year. Ohio state hasn't played in about a fucking month, they will get their asses handed to them again.

It's not Hawaii's fault their conference sucks, this is the only sport you see this in and it is fucking retarded.

I'm not SURPRISED but it just pisses me off is all. If Hawaii had lost last night, I wouldn't care. But here you have the ONLY undefeated team in the top 25 and they are getting dogged because of something they can't control meanwhile you have the powers that be torturing the numbers to make sure USC and LSU and all the other big dollar teams get their bowl games.

You know, if they could FIND a way, Notre Dame would be playing in a Bowl somewhere.

Bitching about Notre Damn like this doesn't hold water and hasn't for about 10 years now. They lost there bowl advantage back when the BCS started up and changed the standards on bowl eligibility. They weren't ranked or anything this year and they weren't over-ranked for very long last year.

Hawaii does not deserve a shot with the current system because it is highly unlikely they can compete with any of the other top contenders. They would deserve a shot to prove themselves in a playoff but it's a bad idea to just throw them to the lions of a most likely superior team.

USC was not a 3 loss team. They lost twice but I am still with you on the bias with them. Michigan got the boot from the top 25 after losing to a champion I-AA team and USC gets upset even worse by Stanford (might as well have been Yale) way later in the season, subsequently loses to Oregon, and they stay at #19. That is bullshit. That team is sloppy as fuck and their quarterback is a bum with a cute name.

See its stuff like that. How do we KNOW they wouldn't? Michigan lost to App State this year. Ark and Kentucky (both unranked) beat LSU. OU lost to Colorado and Texas Tech. USC lost to fucking STANFORD.

My problem with the system the way its set up is just that. If you aren't in the "big boy" conferences then you don't get a chance. I just think its bullshit that a team like Hawaii doesn't get a chance to compete because of something they can't control. They can't help the fact that they are in that conference.

They said the same thing about Boise State last year and they only came out and played in what was the best college football game I have seen in YEARS.

They are the ONLY undefeated team out there. Kansas had an easy schedule too, if they were undefeated they would be in the title game. Its just unfair is all.

It would be like baseball saying it doesn't matter that the Cardinals won their division, the NL central was the worst team out there and they probably wouldn't beat an AL team anyway so we aren't going to let them have a shot at the world series.

If Kansas would have gone undefeated that means they would have beaten Mizzou and OU in the Big 12 championship. They would be an undisputed number 1 and a shoe-in for the BCS title bout. That wouldn't be unfair at all.

You have valid points in other areas but not as evidence that Hawaii and the like deserve a shot. You're just pointing out the weaknesses of an obviously broken system. The BCS has to take a guess on who they think might be the best or next best in the nation and then pair that team up with whomever is ranked number 1. It is highly unlikely that team is Hawaii.

The system inherently flawed when the decision isn't obvious as there is no way of knowing you are right in the end. The only way it's fair, or at least more fair, is match some of these teams up against eachother and let them duke it out for the championship. Unfortunately that will probably never happen.

I just fail to see how two games on Kansas' schedule automatically make them title contenders. Even when they were going into the Mizzou game they were ranked 1, Hawaii ranked like 13.

The system is inherently flawed anyway. I just think that it sucks that you won't get a George Mason situation in college football. You won't get a TRUE underdog story, its all about the big programs lining their wallets again.

Well you might be getting what you hope for but in a very slow process. All the "experts" in sports media are talking about this season like it's a fluke with all of the upsets but there was a good amount of them last year too. Texas, Auburn, USC, Oklahoma, Louisville, West Virginia, and a couple others all got upset last year (all but Louisville in that group lost to an unranked team).

I am not convinced this is a fluke year. I think the limitations that were placed on scholarships are finally starting to take effect and the juggernaut schools of the past don't have a monopoly on the talent anymore. Cal and Oregon are tapping more of the west coast talent than before, South Florida is becoming a contender while Miami and Florida St. are in decline, and the Big East has somehow become tougher than the Big Ten and Pac-10 combined.

It's a new world for college football that's been a long time coming but I think (and hope) it's finally here. The feature games of the BCS last year were pretty embarrassing with three blowouts and we'll see what happens this year.

    FUCK!!!!

So Rich Rodriquez is going packing up and heading to Michigan

I am torn because I live in WV and am a huge WV fan, but I followed Michigan for years and even attended their football camp for a couple of years

I still think it is pretty shitty how Rodriguez pulled this shit 2 years in a row. For those that don't remember, he did this last year, but WV threw him a great offer at the last minute and he decided to stay.

I guess the real salt in the wound is that now they are saying he won't even coach the 'Eers during the Gator Bowl to finish off the season.

I guess the question could be asked: Would he still be leaving if the Mountaineers hadn't lost embarrasingly to Pitt, and gone on to the National Championship?

    I say no

Apparently Rodriguez is refusing to pay because WVU broke their contract with him over facilities, Grad Assistants and Assistant Coach pay

he renegotiated all this just last year during the whole Alabama fiasco

now, a bunch of the univerisity biggest donors are pulling their money becuase they think the school didnt do enough to keep Coach Rodriguez

the way the story goes, Rich Rod went to the new university president, wanted the things that were promised to him, but the new president said "you're program has all it's going to get. if you don't like it, you can leave."

    so he did
