Tycho just posted a link to his new song he created with the game "Jam Sessions". It's truly a great song and already people are saying he should make an album.
Unfortunatley, it's only a streaming file, so you can't download it and put it on a CD or MP3 player... until now..
I just went through the trouble of recording it and uploading it to a filesharing program. A process that was a LOT more difficult than it sounds. At least until I figured out what I was doing. Anyway, heres the link.

So, what do you guys think of this song? Would you guys pay for a CD full of more songs in the same Style and subject matter as this?

Doesn't look like it to me.
I do agree he should do an album, but maybe not if they're all WoW inspired. I'd like some geekfolk to go with my nerdcore though.
I'd definitely buy a CD of his stuff if it was all somewhere between the calibur of this song and the older work from his bands.
Unfortunately I remember absolutely nothing about it.
My only experience with Tycho singing was at PAX '06, when he sang a song about WoW.
I'll check this out later.

1)I'm new here, so I don't know who any of the admins or mods are
2) Despite best efforts, it would probably take at least an hour to respond because they're probably busy, which is perfectly reasonable. I'm not saying I won't be up for that hour or I'm too busy to wait, but I probably would have honestly forgotten about this forum by then. I kind of wanted to do it on a whim while I still remembered/cared. If I even remembered tomorrow, I doubt I would take the time to go back and do everything again, at a not-so spur of the moment time.
Like I said, the mods or whatever can make their decision. If they care, than that's fine, they can do what they wish.
But why are you so hostile over it? It's not like I'm selling it for a buck a download. I just put it up there so people can throw it on their iPods or whatever. I'm sure that even if Tycho decided to sell it, the crowd of people who post on their official forums would be loyal enough to pay for it from a store/iTunes or whatever.

It is not, however, yours to post. You're right, Tycho probably won't mind. It isn't your place to say, however. It would have taken five minutes to check this over with someone, but you didn't. That means that I had to. By saying "oh the mods and admins can take it down or whatever", what you're saying is "I can't be bothered to do something but if someone else wants to go to that trouble in my stead I totally don't mind". Because you see, somebody has to do it, and by not doing it when you know you should because you know that somebody else will you are being a tool.
