...Maybe one or two more. Are these guys in any ongoing books right now?
Question (the one you're talking about) is dead. Stargirl is in Justice Society, which is fantastic. Supergirl has her own series that is not that great.
And I don't know where Huntress is at the moment.
Justice Society of America? Is this a Golden or Silver Age thing? What is a good issue to jump into this one?
This is kinda why I stay away from DC, I don't want to worry about what "Age" or "Earth" these characters are from. I feel like I'd be lost unless I read 10 years of back issues.

Stargirl is in the JSA
Supergirl is in her own Supergirl book, she's in Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes, and she's going to be in Teen Titans starting this month (although who knows for how long)
Huntress is in Birds of Prey
So hey, four team books featuring characters you like.

uh, that's the complete opposite of DC's continuity
there's only been one Earth since like 1987. The multiverse came back this year, yes, but there haven't been any stories from those Earths told (there are only references to them in some stories like Sinestro Corps and Countdown). Everyone, right now, is from the same Earth.
There's no need to read 10 years of back issues. If you don't know much about a character, but want to, you just go onto Wikipedia and read their current history.

Huntress is still kicking around in Birds of Prey, but I'd wait until McKeever starts his run on the book, since Bedard will almost certainly be terrible.
How is Bedard terrible? I'm really liking his Black Canary mini-series (granted I haven't read the last issue yet). I'm not sure what else I've read by him, but he doesn't seem bad.

I'm really torn about Flash this week. I enjoyed the last one but I really didn't like the art in that preview a few days ago. Can someone tell me if the story is at least good? Cause the story will need to be good to amazing in order for me to pick it up over the art?
Also Muffin, I wasn't really reading DC until I picked up the JSA back issues, there are only like 9 issues out right now and a few of them with the JLA x-over aren't even that necessary but hell its a great book and you should totally check it out. I knew absolutely nothing about the characters before I looked at it but it was still really enjoyable and I slowly felt like I've started to learn who these people are. The last issue with Liberty Bell was amazing. Go pick that up, its a nice semi-self contained story

The story is by Mark Waid
Yes I'm aware of that, but the art to me is just awful and really distracting for me. (I know some may like it I don't want to start a flame war) Almost enough to pull me out of the story. I still maintain that Kerschl should have been the artist but you don't always get what you want.

And Meltzer's run on JLA was one of the most disappointing things I've encountered in comics, and his last issue was just about as pointless and dull as the rest of his run.
I actually liked this issue, but I have more negative things to say about his run than positive. I mean, Johns has accomplished more with JSofA in 8 issues than Meltzer's 12, and thats including the crossover.
On the otherhand, Flash #231 was the best thing to come out with the Flash name on it in a looonng time. I hope Waid and Acuna stay on this book for a good while.

fixed that for you ;-)
Just kidding, I decided that despite my reservations regarding the art I still went ahead and picked up Flash.

Did he write the issue where Roy was trapped under the building? That was pretty awesome.

Yeah, #11 was great, but #12 wasn't the greatest way to end the run, I'll say that.
Well, almost nothing happened, so it fits really well with the rest of the run at least. Just a bunch of character vignettes. Which is ok, I guess, but not what I want out of justice league.
I think Steve Uy should do the Flash art. His stuff's so kinetic and vibrant I think he'd be a perfect fit. Check out the recent JSA: Classified with Jakeem Thunder for an example of what I'm talking about.

Yeah, I liked one issue out of twelve.
I'd consider that a disappointment.
What I liked best about Meltzer's JLofA was the line-up he chose.
Except Geo-Force. I still haven't figured out how he got on the team.
It's all just Brad Meltzer's expression of love for the Justice League, which I don't mind, but it really is uneventful and slow.

Flash should have hard, strong lines.
hate it in others

But now everyone hates Acuna.
No, everyone said that about Karl Kerschl
Then everyone said "whoever did that last page is awful"
about Acuña
