I'd pretty much agree with him. I bought it because it was a pseudo-sequel to FFXII and it's a fun little RTS, but if you're expecting a whole lot of customization, you're probably going to be dissapointed. It's a simpler RTS. I'm having a lot of fun with it regardless.

That was an awesome trailer but honestly I'm still looking more forward to DQIV. Anymore news on it possibly being brought over seas?
Well, there is always the fact that if you take an Action Replay to the DQ IV cart you'll find 80% of an English script, so I think the chances of this game showing up sooner rather than later are quite good.

Right now, while I really want FFIV, i'm more looking forward to DQ IV, as i've never played it before (can't say the same for FFIV). Hopefully, since it's already partially translated, we might be getting it rather quickly.
So FFIV is definitely coming to the US right? Is DQIV? I'm so lost.
Well frankly, I'd be somewhat surprised if Square-Enix released DQM: Joker and DQH: Rocket Slime to the United States and not DQIV DS. That would be madness. MADNESS! Apparently theres even a beta translation in the Japanese DQIVDS version that is accessable using action replay codes.
I think its fairly safe to argue we will see these two games and more in the next year.
My worry is that they killed their DQ fansite, SlimeKnights.
However, one of the last things the Slimeknights (and rest of the DQ community) discovered was that DQ4 DS has a near complete English translation already inside -- which means we might see it in Spring 2008.
With the new "inheritance system" replacing the character swapping (from the GBA edition), we're including the ability to set your own battle commands (besides the typical list of fight, item, etc). You can even insert specific spells or items into the list for quick and simple access.
Goddamnit. I knew this was too good to be fucking true.
The only feature that I found excellent in Pokemon Fire Red that I want in every rpg from now on
is that when you turn it on there is an optional replay of what you did that was signifigant in the last couple of times you played. So well done, it made life easier during exam season.
They need to give this treatment to FFVI for DS now - I would most likely commit murder to possess that game. Thoughts for any of the voice actors if they did? I'm too lazy to list them all but :
Totally Clive Owen for Sabin - not that it would ever happen.

If they don't get Mark Hamill to voice Kefka, I'll softly cry myself to sleep.

That's right, the dreaded M word. Yes, I know it's stupid, but my rage subsided a bit when I read that the story only has Cecil's "descendant", which makes it sound like the original cast won't even appear. Probably one of those "500 years later" deals.
Plus they managed to come up with an even faggier name for the main character.

God dammit Square. Not only do you make a sequel to one of my favorite games ever, you have to make sure I will never, ever get a chance to play it. Fuck.
Maybe if we're lucky they can include it as a bonus (some how) in the usa DS version of the game. If the cell phone game is coming out so soon in Japan, with little fanfare there must not be much to it right?
Sigh... maybe one day, "SE mobile game compilation" on DS XD

Thanks dudes.
Callin' this.
I think you might be right.

Skipable cutscenes. Finally, Squenix. Finally.
So, uh. How long did it take them to finally do this? 5 years?

I thought they did this in FFXII? In which case, yes, 5 years.

This makes February just about the most stacked month ever. PW4, Layton, NMH, DQS.
Oh, and something else I'm forgetting, can't be that important...
Also, If I were to wager a bet regarding DQ IV's release date over here, I'd guess May.

Sucks, but it does give them the chance to add swapping to Super FFIV DS Advance Edition EX+Alpha Turbo.

Sean Connery for me.

They first had this feature in FFX, if I remember correctly. At any rate, it was standard in their console games by Kingdom Hearts 1.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl would like to have a word with you. In its office. Right now.
Oh that, is that some sort of obscure card battling game? I can't see many people buying that.
I think they're serious about dropping it for good. It really does clash heavily with the rest of the game.
Jack Nicholson, for me... but just because Tellah was too crazy to be anyone else.
YES.
