AC and WB are similar to how the WoW forum and MMO forums were - high volume of posts, low volume of new threads, with compatible demographics.
By merging the two:
* Writers get more exposure, and more critiques
* There's one less forum on the main page
* More people can poke fun at Jim's forum name
I don't even think there will be much resistance as was the case with the WoW/MMO merger because neither of these forums have a massive community built around one genre. We'll just be desegregating art, not pushing two very different communities in to one.

Also, it makes it harder for a new writer/artist to get exposure when there's a combination of both mediums all over the place.
I say it's fine like it is; that's why several forums have a writing section and an artist section separated.
Also, there's really no stopping people from AC from coming to WB to offer crits right now, and there's really not much forcing AC regs to crit literary threads even if the subforums did merge.
I think it would create more problems than it would solve, personally.

Surely you are mad.
The universe would collapse on itself.
I do believe he said it would amuse him....
What? I can't be the only one who finds universal catastrophe highly amusing can I?

There, I said what everyone was thinking.
It just means you have to sort through more shit.
But then the AC wouldn't be able to tell people to post their comics over in SE++ anymore.

No no, rest assured we'd still find a way to enjoy doing that
i'll get to post pages of handwriting so messy it's impossible to decipher, next to pages of random pencil drawings that are scribbled out because i'm worried they might betray my subconscious desires (ie they look too much like willies)
