Unofficial Soul Calibur Tournament at PAX- any interest?

Hey everyone, I'm looking forward to a great PAX!

There's just one imperfection: this year's PAX is apparently going to be the first in two years without an official Soul Calibur tournament. I understand why the organizers aren't bringing the game back, but I'd be sad if there weren't any real Soul Calibur going on.

And so I became intrigued with the idea of putting together an unofficial SC3 (or SC2, really) tournament at PAX. I'm thinking of something along the lines of posting a sign up near the tournament desk and having people just sign up if they're interested. Then, on Sunday morning perhaps, everyone who signed up and is still interested gets together in Console freeplay to fight it out. I don't really have much to give out in the way of prizes, so it'd probably just be for fun and bragging rights.

Sound interesting?

The biggest question is for PAX organizers:
  • Would it be possible to reserve some time (or just space) with the freeplay consoles for running the tourney, or would the tournament have to be scheduled through the 45 minute console timeslots in freeplay? I don't really think it'd work if all the matches got broken up every 45 minutes or so to re-register.
