What are we to do with drivers and such on these particular peripherals?
I know we can't install drivers...will pax staff take care of it? Or should we just plug and play and forget about any additional features the peripherals provide?
All the tourney/freeplay computers will have Vista on them.
That is disappointing to hear. I'm no anti-MS guy either, I bought a copy of ultimate and everything. But the performance hit, the lackluster driver support, the general not-goodness of everything. Im sure someday vista will be a great OS, but not today.

All the computers will work fine and they are more than beefy enough to run the games so... whats the problem? Freeplay :P
I'm using 'em, although only for tourneys, since I have my own rig. But mine sucks compared to what these are going to be I'm sure. Although maybe they will be so much better I'll need to play on them on saturday too. We'll see.
Anyways these free machines are gunna be great for what we are using em for, FREE GAMING MACHINES.

They were way better than what I have now last time I used the intel demo rigs back in feb
Lat time I upgraded was to play fear and bf2, which was around march 2006. I just bought bf2 like 2-3 weeks ago lol. Anwyays, hardware has continued to go nuts since then and being a student i wasn't buying top of the line stuff (can't waste all you loan money on a gaming rig), so I barely meet min requirements for some of the games coming out now. I guess thats why I bought an xbox 360 too.
To tell the truth the game I play the most on my computer is NHL 94 for snes.

No we wont install drivers for you.
If its for any additional features, you will just have to deal with basic operation.

Freeplay :P
I thought thats how communism works? :P
Intel is providing all these machines to show off their best things, who cares if they have vista?
Nobody is forcing you to use it, you can pass on the tournaments and/or PC freeplay if you are so adamant about it.

Seems like a good deal to me

Goddamnit I need to upgrade.

Plus i get xbox360 games for free so I havent had much incentive to upgrade the computer since just after pax05
On the plus side, maybe the guys at BFG will be smart enough to pick me for the raffle this time.
How do you manage that?
