    I thought so at first as well.

    But, as I now see it, Tycho was just cold-reading the list, mechanically. Upon hearing the last one, Gabe grabbed the sheet, shocked that anyone would speak ill of one of his idols. Tycho then tried to absolve himself of guilt.
