This might be a little late, but is anyone planning on seeing/getting some PAX people together for The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters? Here's the trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/picturehouse/kingofkong/trailer/

Definitely seems like a PAX kinda movie, plus I read on the website (the website of the only theatre playing it in seattle, here: http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/Seattle/Seattle_Frameset.htm) that the director will be there on Sunday. Maybe we could even get Wil Wheaton to go, he's into classic gaming, right? :p

Yes Yes Yes! We'll be arriving in Seattle tomorrow afternoon and would be interested in seeing this with some PA'ers

    I'd like to catch it.

Sadly, work keeps me from getting to Seattle Thursday night for the Day 0 movie crawl, and the same obligation keeps me from remaining there Sunday night.

Are you planning something, or just increasing awareness of the King of Kong? Because you have succeeded on the second score most admirably.

I've checked and the only place in Seattle playing it is on Universal Way, which is about 5 miles away from downtown, so it's a little out of the way. But I'd be game for a showing, if someone gets one together.

Actually I thought the only theatre showing it in Seattle was Varsity, located here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=4329+UNIVERSITY+WAY+N.E.+SEATTLE,+WA++98105

That also looks a little out of the way, about 4 and a half miles, but it's not that bad. Plus, the director will be at this one.

edit: Oops, looks like we're talking about the same one, my bad. So yeah, there really is only one theatre playing it.

You should definitely catch it when you can, it's supposed to be really good. As to whether or not I'm planning anything, I'm not sure, it seems like I might be too late to organize anything big. But if there's interest, then yeah I'd like to meet up with some people. I'd like to see the 7:00pm show on Sunday I think, unless there's stuff going on right after PAX, in which case the 9:10 might work better. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I'd probably be up for going to see it on Sunday night (I'd rather go to the later show)

If we go after PAX has closed or towards the end, I can drive and take 3 people there and back.
