So I went to bed downloading the bioshock demo from fileplanet. For some reason.
Wake up in the middle of the night, it's about thirty percent done, d'ling at about 40kb/s.
So I open steam, and lo and behold, yes, bioshock demo is up on steam. Start getting it there, and after only a few minutes, I am greeted by this sight!
That wasn't some random spike, either! It stayed like that the whole time, the download was done in half an hour! :O
