    Oh man, I wouldn't want to go anywhere near the bridge about now. All those ghoulish nutjobs with cameras.

    A friend of mine works security at a nearby theater, and they have the good fortune of being one of the few buildings allowing public roof access within line of sight of the bridge. Last time I talked to him, he had to cut our conversation short because it was "time to make sure there aren't more than 70 people on the roof."

    It's probably gotten better since then, but I mean what the hell.

    A meme isn't just a fad. A meme is essentially a "viral" idea that spreads within a culture until it becomes ubiquitous

    the key idea is that it generally spreads without most people intentionally trying to spread the idea, it just catches on
