I've played the Bioshock demo, I think it's awesome.

it literally boggles my mind how anyone can think that pulling down on the stick to look upwards in a fps is a really good, sensible idea

that's like turning a steering wheel left to drive right, or having sex with men to be straight

    or something

tstale: what exactly was bugged about your copy? my copy broke my 360 :(

You mean, so that down is up, and up is down? That is the best way. Down is more like back anyway, unless you're holding the controller parallel to the screen, so having it make you lean back to look up feels more natural to me.

I even invert the y axis on 3rd person games, given the chance.

Now what is wrong with inverting the y-axis for console FPS's?

Also, I am beginning to consider getting a 360 or PS3 over getting a new laptop. I mean, so many games I want to play will be on consoles.

I can't play with the y-axis inverted, and I grew up on ataris and apple-IIs with big fucking joysticks.

I still can't play games where down is up.

no it was not, because I was playing on casual and could not for the life of me figure out why I was evidently the worst GoW player on earth.

There was just a knock at the door. I ran to the door to pick up Bioshock. The door opens, and it's some pleb with a clipboard trying to sell me new windows. I have windows. They let light in and let me see outside without allowing wind or rain in, new ones are not required. Who the fuck buys anything from someone who can only get a job selling door to door? Why isn't it legal for me to stab him?

    I am so mad.

i also was not kidding about gears

it caused my 360 to start DREing all over the place, and it's apparently not a problem that only i have

i think that the nature of the way it reads data in gears causes the drive to break, or some crazy thing

i read somewhere that boiling the disc can fix this

can anyone corroborate this so that i don't end up with a blob of melted game disc?

Why would you be getting Bioshock today? It's not out until tomorrow, you'll get it tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure that it's nonsense. There are a few games that started rumours about them breaking the 360, but it seems unlikely. It's far more likely that it's just a coincidence, given the history of the console breaking down with no prior warning. I mean about 50 billion people bought Gears, bound to be a few whose 360s just happened to start acting up at that point.

well normally i'd assume that, but the gears problem is really specific for me

two copes of the game have started DREing at exactly the same spot on two different xboxes

shortly thereafter, any game i put in would start DREing all over

like i said i think the fact that gears streams a lot does mechanical damage to some 360 drives
