I never needed stupid UI mods in WoW, and I was a holy priest in 40 man raids. gb2/crutchland
well it was required to have ct raid, but apparently it was just for spamming announcements and bell noises, because I can't just read the raid/class chat or something.
This is like a 4 year old's argument. I walked 12 miles once, but it sucked and I'd rather ride a bike or drive instead of walking. Looking at an ass UI and wishing you could fit all your druid/shaman buttons onto the 2 bars you had at launch or the 4-5 bars you have now doesn't make you uber mate.
You can't do that anymore. Crap like the old decursive and such don't work. So, assuming WAR takes that change into account, macros and mods will be fine.
Ooh thats good, its been awhile since i played WoW, but decursive was such BS, specially me being a lock. .
This is ironic, because I wasn't talking about decursive, I was talking about Warlock mouse-over macros.
In any event, WAR, I hear it has hammers in it. Also, why is it called War Hampster?

Simple mouseovers can't do anything anymore, except raise a condition for a mouse-over target.
The Zealot with all his debuffs and whatnot is supposedly a good frontline healer.
You'd expect a guy in the front to look like the warrior priest or something.. so you might not think it to start.
Zealots are supposedly melee/healers but they're more light melee than I want.
Also, the amount of nukes I've seen them use says to me that they're classified incorrectly
Zealots are an odd sort of class. They apparently are capable of melee, and are not so squishy that they die quickly in melee combat.
But the way Marks and Harbingers work, it also sounds like they're more efficient when hanging back.
Not like the Warrior Priest who has to build Righteous Fury via meleeing in order to heal.
I don't know about hanging out in the back, because Harbingers are designed only for the Zealot to take advantage of and Rituals will require keeping the enemy within them and if they are trying to kill you, you'll want to be within the Ritual along with keeping them inside.
They're like (and I hate to have to reference WoW) a melee version of a Shadowpriest, stacking debuffs and continuing damage for group/self healing as well as contributing a large (for a support class) amount of damage.
I know everyone is excited about guild beta, trust me, we are too!
Just waiting for things to fall into place to create the appropriate time to widen the maw so to speak wink
It will all happen sooner than you think (though not soon enough for some I'm sure!) Thanks for your patience, we can't wait to show the world WAR, but it's gotta be ready for its debut first

Interesting..
But I'm not getting my hopes up until I get that email.
Will all chaos classes get mutations over time? Obviously the Marauders get them constantly in battle, which is very cool, but I'd still be tempted to go with a Chosen for the ominous armor and huge swords. I just wouldn't want to forego too much in terms of gradual chaos mutations.

To answer your question, no.
I'm fairly sure all the classes except marauder just get more elaborate armor as they level.

Well haven't they said/shown a video of how high level Chosen get more and more face peely offy?

Not that I'm aware of, but feel free to correct me.

The high level chosen concept art has the huge helmet and glowy eyes going on. Only the "low level" art has them without a helmet.
Huh...all right let me see if I can find it again...I think it was a concept art image of Chosen progression without any helmets...
EDIT: Bah, can't find it, it must have fallen off the face of the internet...I'll keep looking for it.
it would be nice if in expansions they open up more classes for the existing races as well as add new races. Such as adding Khorne Bezerkers or some type of Plauge Priest. They wouldn't have to be vastly diffrent but maybe have slightly diffrent abilties just something to keep things fresh.

Adding another class just because is an excellent way to generate more imbalances than you can shake a stick at.

you don't make them that much diffrent from the other melee/caster class in that army. Just give them slightly diffrent abilties nothing game breaking.

so why even bother making a new class?
different is what makes people want to play new classes.

that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

I've...become so dumb
I can't feel you there
I've become so tired
So much more aware
For the witch hunters and priests, of course, not the elves.
I mean, what do they have?
Orks -
Just Orks by themselves are enough to make me play destruction. Come on, black orks have a move called "Right in da jibblies"
Chaos-
Chosen are cool, but wizards riding FREAKING DEMON HOVERBOARDS are way cooler. Nuff said.
Dark Elves-
Sex,
Drugs,
Rock and Roll,
Boobs, and a class that can literally hate people to death.
You can keep your jaunty caps and codpieces, your ugly little short men and your prissy pansy pointy eared pussies. I'll take destruction any day.
Sons of bitches need to have a heavy melee healer hybrid already.
Many folks are guessing that the DE healer will be some sort of melee healer. So cross your fingers or something

It's down the page a bit.

I'm disappointed by the lack of those, actually. There's no pikeman or musketeer class yet. :P
I'm pretty much set on making a Black Orc for the Mouths when the game comes out though.
What the hell!? WoW has hammers! I thought WAR wasn't supposed to be a WoW clone! I didn't sign up to the beta for this crap!
More eyes and armor plates and stuff.

Yeah, it's never just because, and always because people want something new after a game's been out for a while.
