Apologies if this has been posted already, but Konami is creating a sequel to its button-mashing classic, Track and Field, for the DS. Only this time, instead of anonymous mustachioed men, you have wacky super-deformed characters. Also, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill.
Let me say that again:
Track and Field with Pyramid Head. Sadly, he's not in shorts. Here's his profile:
Pyramid Head is the ‘nickname’ of the most fearful creature from a small town called Silent Hill. Recently back from a brief but highly enjoyable killing spree in Hollywood, Pyramid (to his friends) loves nothing more than to strangle or wield his ‘Great Knife’ at anything living! His identity completely anonymous, Pyramid’s only language is the grunts and moans that emanate from inside his helmet. A fearful competitor and a very sore loser, Pyramid Head has been sent from the depths of the hell to compete against mankind and show that demons can go for gold!
* Age: Timeless
* Home: The depths of Nightmare
* Likes: Torment and Execution
* Dislikes: Everything you hold dear
* Skill: Strength
Also, Sparkster. Woot!
According to the website, it's got 24 events including the classic 100m sprint, long jump, archery, weightlifting, skeet shooting, discus, pole vaulting, javelin, kayaking and swimming. There's an online component, too.
(poop, can't get the images to direct-link.)
Anyway, the direct site is

But Sparkster... I seriously didn't think I'd ever see HIM in a new game. Maybe they'll put him in something else, too...
So perhaps him.
I had half of a snarky comment about "ababababababababababababababab" written out but then I thought about it being for the DS and some tricks they could do with the stylus. Doesn't make me pine for the game exactly but it does open up some more possibilities.
Edit: grammurs
Edit x2: and actually looking at the screenshots shows that Konami thought of the stylus before I did.
Oh yeah, it was my specialty back in high school. Coach said I was a natural. Though that does make me wonder why he always insisted on so many private training sessions...
I don't even own a DS.
