The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
My group will leave at around 5:30... get there at around 6, hopefully. Beat the rush hour traffic! And then we get 8 hours to kill! Hooray! This might seem a bit early, but I imagine there will be plenty of people there already. The Pre-reg Line is quite a thing to behold, I'd rather cut sleep than have to be stuck in line for foreeeveeerrr.
I was driving some out-of-towner friends around, and I kept complaining about being blinded. They responded with "You see, where we come from, people tend to wear Sunglasses." I retorted with a simple "You people tend to have sun."
I am thinking 6:30am ish? With not expecting these three days off of work. I didn't register since I work weekends. Last year I didn't have to worry as much aside from running in quick and picking it up since I already had pre reg last year.
So this will be my first time waiting in line to buy a pass. Should be interesting from the stories I hear. Wait maybe long, but thats what part of Pax is about the wait. DS's, drinks, and people are what makes the waits bearable and fun.

You're going to get there at 6am and wait 8 hours instead of showing up around 2 and waiting for (probably less than) 1 hour...

Are you sure you've thought this through?
We just had a bad experience with waiting in lines last year.
Or maybe it's not a bad experience?
Waiting in the pre-reg line is a whole different experience itself hahaha
In any case, we're excited.
We want to be at the (near) front!

Well, if you've got time to kill tomorrow and you'll enjoy waiting for the doors to open, more power to you.
But at least after you get in... My wife and I have been to every PAX so far and the number one thing we've learned is this: Don't wait in line.
I always feel sorry for the people who spend so much time in lines at PAX when it's just not necessary. We generally get in line a few minutes before the doors to an event open (after others have been in line for hours) and we've never missed an event we want to see.

I don't understand...you've had bad experience waiting in line...so you decided to wait in line for 8 hours this time to solve that problem? O_o

I guess I'll try for that too.
