I really wish I could have hung out more, but I ducked out for a bit on Saturday for a family birthday party and ended up taking my grandpa to the ER for pneumonia.

Oh man, the photo the guy from the Times used I look so dumb. Me and Fram were playing PGR4, but we both suck so we just started running over motorcyclists.
He's dying, no doubt about it, but he's been dying for a while. He can't eat anymore--it's how he got the pneumonia in the first place--so we're all considering whether to install a feeding tube or not.
I kind of lean towards "not," as his quality of life is atrocious and his care needs have made grandma weary and tired. It's still not an easy decision to make, though.
Sorry to hear that Maker - been through that very thing with my grandmother (she died last month...living will said no life support, and she went peacefully )

I just like holy shit or ahahahaha moments that can only happen when you get a ton of like-minded people together and some clever people ringmastering it all.
I did really like Wil Wheaton's keynote, even if it was pandering. I mean, pandering means saying things that we want to hear, right? So yeah.
