I was stranded in Mexico for a week, did I miss anything?

Yo.

How's everyone?

I am ready to collapse in my chair here at work, I have been in Mexico for the past week and due to that little thing called Hurricane Dean I hardly had a chance to relax and spend a good portion of the past week stressed out, stocking up on supplies for the storm, fleeing from an island resort by cover of night, having a near mental breakdown as I called dozens of hotels in a 4 hour radius to try to find a place to get through the storm, and hunkering down in a small hotel room as the power went out and water streamed in through the windows.

So.

What went on in the past week of gaming that I should know about? I left last Thursday and have had no contact with the internet world for the past week. Can someone fill me in on all the gaming news goodness that I should know about from the past week?

I KISS YOU!

Bioshock came out. That's all that's important.

    Jesus came back.

It was really awesome, he gave us all spare Wiis and copies of SSBB.

Bioshock release on STEAM was pretty chaotic. Errmmm... Smash bros updates were really good, and the PS3 actually found a cure for cancer*.

*the last part was a lie.

did you wake up in a bath of ice? check your back for any cuts, you might be missing a kidney.

Beside that, yeah, Bioshock and Jesus. He delivered it himself.

We don't talk about games anymore.

This is now a knitting message board.

You totally missed out on the awesome sweater I made the other day. I pwn the cross-stitch.
Also, we're all apes now, and we enslave humans.

After reading the title of the thread, I had the feeling that you had been drugged in a shady bar and robbed of your kidneys, leaving you to use some drinking straws and the motor of a 1930 Ford Pinto as a makeshift dialysis machine while you slowly made your way back to the border.

Looking back, such a feeling is quite ridiculous.

Sure, no problem. They included a new pattern maker in the Knitting v3.4 update.

In other news, who's excited for the crochet demo that's supposed to be coming out next week? Some of the previews I've read are pretty 'meh', but I have high hopes for a decent crochet application.

I read a hands on in Crocheting Weekly that said that the Wii version is shaping up really well. They said that the control scheme was perfect.

They never compensate for us lefties, though. :( It's a shame.

Well yes, the Wii was made for crocheting. I'm suprised it took this long.

Also, thanks to the price cut the PS3 almost doubled in sales in July but still didn't beat out the 360.
