Is it still possible to do these? It seems like the requirements to avoid the dreaded "Last edited by X at XX:XX" has changed - I believe it used to be you could avoid it by updating the post before anyone else posted after you ... now I find that even though I'm the last reply in the thread, the edit warning still shows up.

    After a certain amount of time, it still shows up.
    I don't think it's much more than a minute.

    I thought it was based on whether someone has read your post yet, which isn't necessarily required for another post to show up after yours.

    I too do this. For some reason, even with the preview button right there, I still end up posting with a minor spelling or grammar error that I don't notice till I actually make the post and I have to swiftly edit it lest I be quoted with INAPPROPRIATE APOSTRAPHE or something.

    Ninja edits let me hide my shame.

    I did not know they were timer-based, though. Is the timer exactly 1 minute?

    Does the "last edited by" thing really bother you guys? Two minutes is pretty cool, though. I oftentimes miss a spelling error and have to edit.
