I will preface by saying Shadowrun makes me all hot in the pants.

I watched some gameplay from one of those so unfortunately seated near me at PAX, and sweet jesus the graphics and gameplay impress me.

So, the win being known..... How much truth is there to the burbling I've heard about the interwebs about a "Windows XP Hack" for the Vista monster that is Shadowrun?

Me wanty Shadowrun, but Vista - "DO NOT WANT"

I'm pretty sure there were some active participants in the last Game On thread that had it running under XP.

    But yeah.

Shadowrun, even when considering it's faults, is still fuck win.

I know hacks for XP play do exist and work but have no real way to get them because I don't really like pirating games and you have to download the whole game as a hack...

Ethically speaking, I see no problem with buying the game normally and then downloading a pirated version to get it to work on XP.

ethically speaking, i'm pretty sure we have rules against discussing this sort of thing.

As far as my ethics are speaking Microsoft is an evil entity for releasing a fantastic game and FORCING gamers to get the horror that is Vista in order to play it.

    That is unethical.

You don't have to redownload the game, the cracks are seperate.

I will not tell you how to get them though, that would be wrong.

Sorry, rules about discussing whether or not downloading a cracked copy of a game under certain circumstances is morally wrong with no mention of how or where to do so? Would you mind linking to that rule?

Go back to the first page of the forums. Look at the thread at the very thread at the top. The one that says RULES THREAD. The one you supposedly read when you signed up. Yeesh.
