Great voice acting in videogames

So, since we have a thread about horrendous abortions of voice acting in videogames, I figured that we should have one about moments of VA brilliance. Of course, it's probably going to be somewhat harder to find examples for this particular subject, but that's no matter.

The example I'll start with is Lezard Valeth of Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria, voiced by Liam O'Brien - phenomenal work here.

I'm going to put my vote in for the voice actors of StarFox 64. Sure, some lines may be cheesy, but they're delivered in a way that makes them memorable. I can personally recite nearly every piece of dialog from that game. My friends and I can easily interject a SF64 quote into a conversation and we'd all know what we're talking about.

Now if only they could be tracked down to truly reprise their roles... not since SF64 has Fox, Falco, Slippy, Falco, and the rest sounded as perfect as they did.

I'm going to vote for the few but awesome bits of "voice" in Legend of Zelda:Wind Waker.

I'll need to add Bioshock. I know that word gets thrown around a lot lately, but it has amazing voice acting.

I also liked the voice acting in The Darkness... but that might be just me, how do you guys feel about it?

Now that I think of it, it really does have good voice acting. In that the voices suit the characters well. James' voice was particuarly good, too. Even Slippy, though his voice was annoying, fit the character well.

Sweet Jesus is that better cover art than the shitastic US version.

Also, your Eternal Darkness pic didn't come up.

Also, MGS 1-3 have excellent voice work, as do most of the Sierra/Lucasarts adventure games that have it.

Speaking of Lucasarts, I always liked the voice work in TIE Fighter.

Since now I'm in Starwars, they did a good job with both KOTORs.

Since those are RPGs I guess I should mention Tales of Symphonia, a game with some cheesy storyline but some good VA work.

Off the top of my head, two recent games with superb voice acting would be Bioshock and the new Sam & Max games.

Another 2 cents for David Warner's rendition of Irenicus.

The first answer to the thread, though, should have been the entire cast of Legacy of Kain: Defiance and Soul Reaver 1 & 2. Simon Templeman as Kain, Tony Jay as the Elder God, Michael Bell as Raziel, Richard Doyle as Moebius, Paul Lukather as Vorador, and Rene Auberjonois as Janos Audron. Best video game voice acting cast put together, ever.

    Digital Devil Saga. Practically flawless.

Also, the Lunars. Shoot, any Working Designs game. I don't think there was a single game they ever did that failed to deliver on quality voiceovers.

And naturally, Curse of Monkey Island.

Y'see, with "bad voice acting" as the subject there's some room for discussion.

With opposing/diagonal spinoff threads, they always turn into poor poll threads.

I know this because I am Internet Jesus.
