Why did you have to pick the weekend I am in Vegas?
I do not even know at this point if I will service Vegas and make it back to Washington alive. I hear its a different place, and after seeing the trailer for the new documentary, Resident Evil: Extinction, I am not sure if i still want to go. Zombies give me the creeps.
Most of the places are a around the greater Seattle area, and if I recall, there are also some really good White River Rafting trips that happen in September... Just a area to look into
The lower loops are much nicer and closer to the beaches, trails and facilities. The forest loop isn't bad really, especially if it turns out we have a big group and may need a couple of sites next to each other, but it can turn into a bit of a walk to get down to the lake & beach.
I'm going to ask that you tentatively (tee hee tents) put my name on the list of attendees. I also pledge to bring lots of booze, provided I can secure those days off.
Also, if anyone is coming up from like Portland it would be superrad if I could concievably carpool with them. I'll pay for the gas. I mean, its not like I need a ride or anything, I've got a car, but it would make things easier.
/mumbles something about moving the camping trip back one more week to Sept. 22

The locations posted above are about halfway between Vancouver and Seattle. Sorta.
Silverlake Park is actually pretty close to the border, but to get there you havce to come down, go through bellingham and out toward Mount Baker. Easy to find, and not too far.
Deception Pass is on the way out to Oak Harbor. Basically, take I5 to Burlington and head west toward the water. Once we have a final decision, I'll post driving directions.

Actually, an SE++ Christmas-ish dinner isn't a really bad idea. Just do it early in December so that it doesn't interfere with real holiday plans. We could all go to, like, Leavenworth and have a Bavarian Christmas.
I'm mostly kidding about that, by the way, but if anything PAX really highlighted just how many of us live in the general area, and how worthwhile it is to get our asses together.

I used to work in Milton at Taco Time, and my old boss occasionally calls me up to be Ned (Taco Times mascot) for parades and special events.
Overall the town is a good place to live due to its central location and cheap houses. It is just outside of King County next to I-5, Highway 18, and 167.
Actually I went to school in Seattle until my senior year when I transfered to Tahoma Senior High/Occupational Skills Center in Federal Way. School sucked that year.

That's a shame to hear. My highschool was awesome. 500 people tops and teachers tackled kids in classes.

the only thing that would possibly leap into your vagina is Ben and/or a bear
I bet centipedes would also be willing
Looking at the roster, unless it's Cal you really won't notice it.

up here the centipedes are the size of semis, and as gaping as her legpit may be, it ain't quite that cavernous

the average in seattle is about 2.50 - 2.75 a gallon
up here in lethbridge, ab, it's 1.10 a liter
which translates to a little bit less than 4 dollars a gallon
it's rough, especially when you consider the canadian dollar is about a nickel from parity
this is going to be awesome
and don't worry about bears
I can take a fucking bear
I just challenge it to a drinking competition
I might also throw in a few ball punches.

Like, a hot 35 year old? I could go for that. Let's do that regardless
It's laws, sorry.

Then you feel like dying and want to go home.

Just FYI for Rank or whoever - if at all possible, avoid the "forest loop" (seen here: http://www.camis.com/WA/camping/maps.asp?loc=181)

It sucks you'll be gone, but that weekend is Weaver's wedding, and a bunch of formers will be unavailable that weekend.
yay bribes

It's near Federal Way, Fife (Tacoma-esce town), and Pullayup.
