The free stuff was great!

FTW: Wii controller key chain (awesome! but needed time limit on demo play *messages leg cramp*), t-shirts, Guild Wars stuff, demo disks, glowy stars from Geometry Wars.

Lame: um...well there was stuff I couldn't use, but can't really think of something lame. The Rock Star road sign was weird...a little lethal even, but I must say it was unique. :-)

K, now on to what I really really really want - CHRITMAS ORNAMENTS!! We are geeks in need of Geeky Trees! I want Game Cube ornaments, Controller ornaments, Character ornaments -- c'mmon! PAX is only 4 months before Christmas. Anyone else here want more on their tree besides the Hallmark Star Wars guys? Oh, and I'm asking for real 3D ornaments -- not flat metal drawings. I want a mini replica of the Game Cube, characters in pose, etc. Oh please Oh please Oh please!

Liked: The shirts, Haze mints, and the Naruto DS accessories

Didn't like: Seeing many people walk up and get Parappa shirts at the PlayStation booth and being told that they weren't being handed out when you've been waiting

Next time: More game vendors and more shirts

No more stickers. If people are too retarded not to stick them on the convention center walls, floors and the escalators, then don't hand them out. I don't know if that kind of clean up is included in the PAX contract or if it falls under a specialty vadalism clause, but it's obnoxious.

This is the first year I actually didn't bring home any swag, but that's mostly because the free bottle of Bawls I got opened inside my bag, so I threw it all away. I should've nabbed some t-shirts though.

    High Points:

Castle Crashers Figures -Dan and Tom were signing them - I've got an awesome drawing on the glass display box for mine. Worth $20? Hells yes.

Halo 3 Messenger bag. I picked mine up for half price after a solemn oath to pimp it out during the platformers podcast this week. Now I finish every sentence with bungiestore.com

The Gamecock lollipops - which I heard referred to by Auran CEO Tony Hilliam as "Cock-suckers". I nearly died laughing on the spot.

Haze mints - neat case. Also, they're a little like crack.

The low points: The manhunt 2 bracelets... er... alright.

The shirts were a goodness. PROTIP: More "normal people" sizes like small and medium. I'll be damned if I ever fill out a large and I'm 5'10!

    High points:

The Uncharted stuff, I got the framed art and ring pendent, both of which were very well made and are both things I'm proud to own.

The glow in the dark stuff from Geometry Wars, blend in during the day on the roof of my room. Then at night...

The Ratchet and Clank movie-style poster, it's awesome.

    Low points:

The Manhunt 2 bracelet, great... torture porn swag... awesome...

Magic mouse pad, good artwork on it, but do we as a society need mouse pads anymore?

I actually got a few tshirts that fit me (i'm a small/medium) and more surprisingly, my girlfriend was able to get a free shirt that fit her too.

As far as my favorite free swag, as in things that you got for free for walking up to the booth/asking for stuff, would have to say:

In an unrelated story, the sony guys are awesome :)

I liked the Guild Wars art. I've always been a fan of game art, and think it's generally underestimated as a medium. Each day, they had different artists giving out prints and signing them. Very awesome and appreciated.

I thought that the Manhunt 2 hospital bands were pretty cool, I also liked all the t-shirts, though some more non black ones would be cool. I don't think I can complain about anything I got for free, that just doesn't make sense.

Loved the Guild Wars artwork/swag. As a HUGE fan of that game, this would be expected! Signed art is a really great way to keep people coming back to the booth, as well as have a reason to talk to each artist/developer. One of the more creative things done, I think, and they are particularly valuable to me as that's something I can't just order from JINX! or xkcd, or download from Fileplanet. Makes it a very personal kind of swag.

DICE at the Magic booth! That was really awesome, a full set of D6 through D20's in black and green. I actually very much liked the Magic mousepads as well, I expected to find more people with them, and there weren't many. I use them around the office for general surface covers, so I can never have too many!

I would love to see a few more lanyards next year the first day of PAX. I found it odd that Sony had them on Sunday but not before - perhaps they realized the lack of lanyards and had some shipped in as fast as they could? Having 2-4 kinds to choose from the first day would be very cool.

Love the t-shirts, especially ones you can't get at any other place. Very cool for wearing proudly the rest of the year while you're waiting for PAX to come around again!

PSP demos were another highlight for me. Of course love the software demos as well, I'll be playing demos for the next month to get through them all!

I love the minty goodness . . . tasty mints are tasty, and sleek little boxes always fascinate me for some reason. The Rockstar stickers are cool, they seem like they can take some abuse and still look good. That and I got a few the size of my torso :-) And the Guild Wars skill pins are awesome - heavy and quality-looking, with potentially amusing applications for those who know what they are :-) I didn't get one, but the Mad Cow Disease plushy is a freakin awesome conversation piece!

I'd like to see more creative tshirt ideas . . . .well, more creative tshirts, really. I think it accomplishes their goals (I think people will pay more attention to the God of War shirt or Support Piracy than, say, History Channel's) and mine (I like wearing amusing stuff when dressing down) better. And the nVidia and Sony marketing quests were uber creative and awesome, but a little too time-consuming for a short weekend like PAX. Loved the numbers matching thing, but the numbers were TINY!

I'm still somewhat sad about being the 4th person whose number was drawn in Turbine's raffle at the end of the show... The first 3 got video cards, you lucky bastards. Oh well, it scored me a copy of LOTRO, which I'll probably check out when they release the first inevitable expansion and more gameworld to see, I liked the beta, but I'm still not a huge fan of just having Eriador to start.

Liked: "What's your gamerscore" T-shirt from M$ booth, Rock-Band stickers (going to rebel and use them to decorate my Git Hero guitar), free Magic cards actually made me think about playing Magic again.

Didn't like: winning a PS2 collector's edition of .hack/GU as a prize for winning a Culdcept Saga tourney at the BandaiNamco booth - I don't have a PS2! So that's going to have to go on Ebay.

*REALLY* liked: receiving an email from a dude at M$ today telling me I'd won a 360 Premium from the draw at M$ booth. Sweet!

I was pulling stickers off the escalator hand rails. I think I yanked about 5 off and a 6th one got away as it began its next revolution. Thankfully, without my hand.

I got the artwork at the Sony booth for doing the quest thing. I liked that whole event.

I also got a kick out of the Ramen thing, though I was sad to find out I was even heavier than I was last I checked. ;-)
