For those of you who came to see our new board games, played as heroic Elves against our large, green, and mean Orc King, we hope you had fun and hope you earned some of our swag.
If you have a picture of our Orc King or of you winning some loot from the Orc King, send them to us at orcking@tablestargames.com and we'll put it up on our website.
Thanks to you, people of/at/in PAX and see you next year!
I have to say that while fighting the Orc King, there were MANY hair-raising moments. The game ended with only the ranger (myself) escaping with all of the loot, while my allies heroically perished to ensure our overall victory.
Pictures to come from teamquiggan (and more from me, later).
Here is Chizzer and Myself before our Epic Victory at the end of PAX, In which we won the Glorious Elven Sword of Flawless Impalement, the large Tan Stein of Epic Fluid Containment, and The Charcoal Flat Sword of Dynamic Proportions. We had so much fun playing Orc wars, so we bought the set, for many more adventures in the future.
Never got to try the game with the Orc Game but my friends and I enjoyed beta testing your Wealth of Nations game! Really looking forward to the release of it...
We'd be happy to send you the pics of you and your buddies fightin' our guy. They're off to Dragon*Con right now, a big cosplay, game, random-thing convention in Atlanta, so next week we should be able to download all the stuff from the cameras.
I'm glad you liked the prototype. Which one were you? How did you do in the game?
And by the way, I run the playtesting program here at TableStar, so if any of you want to try out our other games-in-development, HeroCard or otherwise, send me an email at play@tablestargames.com and I can beam you more info.
Me and my friends played the Orc King, and if I dont say so myself we did fantastically... We didn't get any pictures though since we were too focused on winning. That game was awesome! So we bought it and the expansions.
Also we helped with the play-testing as well. Which was super fun! To this day I am still thinking of different production strategies that would win. Do we have an ETA on when it will be released? Or is it still too far off to say at the moment?
I was in Zyzzyvas's play test group. We were the sat night group. Zyzzyvas won because our other friend tried a territory grab/labor hording strategy, which didn't work out for him since he actually ended the game, instead of using his labor advantage. I had a good time and can see the game being alot of fun and pretty simple to learn, but with lots of different strategies. I can see the game being better with more than 3 players, since you have to depend more on other players and the trade aspect, which with the labor hording had some problem early.
I played in the herocard tourney you had last year, although only for a round (got an early lead ,then got triple teamed) and also enjoyed myself.

Also, tell us how you did in our HeroCard Orc Wars mini-tournament. Any hair-raising moments? Did you tromp the Orc King, or did we run you over?
Give us your TableStar Games moments for all to share.
Thanks!

Additionally, good to see you guys got home alright.
Mind if we post it on our website?
We'll definitely mention your prize victory.

Incidentally, the guys working the Tablestar booth grabbed some photos of us after we won. Any way I can get my hands on those?

I'd say Wealth of Nations would be in stores June or July 2008.
I'm glad you guys had fun with our games, both tournament or playtesting.
