    Online co-op does two things:

    1) makes me want a 360.

    2) Really shows how Nintendo are underachieving with there service (it's even £2 less on the 360!).

Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.

What? How could I possibly have missed it, SoR and SoR2 were my favorite genesis games. What system was the 3rd one on?

Edit: I looked it up on wiki and it was also on the genesis. It was also apparently a piece of shit.

There was a Streets of Rage 3... or are you one of those that hated it and pretends it doesn't exist?

I actually liked Streets of Rage 3, not as much as 2, but it was still fun. I liked that if you didn't die your special attacks got upgraded every 5000 points or so.

Hey, I liked Streets of Rage 3. Although I will say that having played through 2 on the Virtual Console recently, it's the best of the series.

It's awesome, people. Online co op is soooo good. All the achievements except the high score one are pretty doable. I'll just set it to very easy, max out the lives and play through without continues and special.

My only quibble with SoR2 is that Adam is about a hundred times cooler than Max.

He is a fucking powerhouse when you know how to use the backbreaker (with splash damage on) every enemy you come across. I'v been playing this game for over a decade so I'll definatley be up for some co-op dome time today after buying it

I only liked Streets of Rage 3 better because Shiva was a playable character. Aside from that 2 is freaking amazing.

If SoR 2 is on XBLA, does that mean its not coming to the Wii anymore?

I am almost certain SoR2 is already out on the VC. But that version does not have online co-op.

Yeah, it came out in May for $8.

I came close to buying it like 100 times. I'm glad I didn't.

The half a second lag I, and anyone I have asked had when playing as a guest makes me want to rip out the eyes of puppies. They had better sort that damn lag problem out.

Downloading and playing through SoR2 today only serves to remind me how superior SoR3 really is in all of the ways that count:

    - playable Shiva
    - tons more special moves
    - special power meter
    - weapon specials
    - 6-button support
    - more team/escape moves
    - characters besides Skate can dash

SoR3 just gets a disproportionate amount of hate due to spotty music, presentation, story, and localization. SoR2 feels a little primitive in comparison.

Not that it isn't a bad way to spend 400 points.
