My allergies have been acting up for going on 3 weeks straight. 3 weeks of itchy watery eyes (looks like im crying most of the time), and itchy runny stuffed nose. Then I started waking up in the middle of the night to sneeze blood out for 10 minutes at a time. 3 days of missed work later the doctor gives me 2 nasal sprays, 1 eye drops and 1 allergy pills sample. My dad has really bad allergies, and it looks like I finally have inherited them, thanks for the shitty DNA dad!
Supposedly eating raw, unfiltered honey from a very local source (preferably within 5 miles) can help with pollen allergies. I would test this for myself if only there were such a place in my area, but the closest is well over 10 miles away. Basically it's supposed to expose you to itty bitty bits of the type of pollen in your area with a lower chance of causing bad reactions than allergy shots. It's still -possible- to have a bad reaction though, so always start with a small amount just in case.
