Good: Practically zero crime apart from a little bit of vandalism. Awesome schools. Easy to get around. Every third person has money coming out of their ears. Just a shit load of hell to raise.

Pro: I live near the freeway.
Con: It is Long Beach.
kickin it in the lbc
The only section of Long Beach that I've been to, is right by the Belmont shores pool, I think that that's what it's called. It's the pool used in the 84 Olympics. It's pretty nice, and the surrounding area is also nice.
There seem to be a lot of crazy people. Not crazy like "Haha random" crazy like I fear for my safety. Our next door neighbor has accused us of "knowing what he's doing in his apartment and telling the cops about it"
Homeless people are rude like rude titties are rude. They don't go somewhere to hide when they sleep. They sleep just where ever, sidewalk, intersection, front door.
I've smelled urine way too much while walking around the streets.
Lastly, just today my job said, "Remember how we hired you to come in at 8am everyday? Well now we need you to come in at 6am everyday." I may have to quit
OH HO HO HO.
You're never gonna survive here.
That's what I was thinking. Culture shock from Santa Barbara is going to be considerable.
I lived in Los Angeles (Atwater Village, kinda south of Glendale near Fletcher & San Fernando) for almost four years. I don't know how it is for you west siders (I rarely went west of Highland), but the east side can be a dirty, nasty place. When I moved to LA it was about mid-september and I coughed for two weeks until I got used to the air. Sometimes the only thing worse than your job is driving there. It's easy to make friends, but many of them will turn out to be socal flakes who you can't count on. The women are good looking but it seems like most of them are completely out of their minds. You often won't know your neighbors... except for the ones that you wish you didn't.
I did have a great time there for a couple of years though... living in Los Angeles in your early twenties is awesome. There's a fun music scene and if you've got the money, you can find just about anything to do. And the food is goddamn amazing. Some people make San Francisco out to be the end all be all of California... LA has it all over SF in so many ways. Except for the ballpark, SF's is better.
I've actually been there. It's Culver City's "sister city" whatever that means. My family stayed with a family there, and they have since stayed with us. I guess my parents still keep in touch with them.

Good: Cocaine can be purchased from everyone, even twelve-year olds and cops.
Bad: Cocaine is poor quality.

Bad: Dickhead police. Stupid ordinances. LifeChurch.

Baby, TFS IS the In-N-Out.
My friends and I have been trying to go to that forever. Is it everything it claims to be?

See this thought, this right here makes me want to not be alive.

I wouldn't want to do the pax until after Tossrock was back in San Diego. He has to be a part of it.
From what I recall it was fuckin awesome.
Lots of action and stuff, and you even get to watch children from the audience race boats or something and laugh at them.
Also you can't go wrong with guys saying "Arrrr!" a lot and giving you food.
WOULD YE LIKE SOME FRESH CRACKED PEPPAARRRRRGH

The good: There are Coulees.
The bad: The Dutch.

I was just thinking after getting back from PAX that we haven't had a proper SoC-PAX in a while since it was so great meeting new people.
