I've searched the forum to see if anyone else has "suffered" from this, and found no threads or topics. So I
tentatively start a new thread asking...what the hell? I bought Guitar Hero 2 (with guitar) from HMV for £10 less than it's rrp on the day of it's release. Bargain, I thought. I took it home, opened it up...and was slightly surprised to find a
black guitar instead of the cherry red guitar promised on the box. *shrugs shoulders* Who cares about colour, so long as it works. I fired up the game, and enjoyed it thoroughly...and then noticed, after a while, that the "store" has a space at the bottom, ie a blue rectangle below the characters, skins etc that would otherwise indicate that there was another item to buy but had been removed. I checked on Medium, Hard and Expert; nope, nothing. I've heard that this was/is supposed to be the space where videos are bought, ala the first GH game, but my sources may be wrong. Is there something wrong with my copy of the game? I entered the Hyper Speed code a while ago to see what difference it made, could that have done something?
Or am I worrying about nothing?

Buh? How would that work on an unmodded PS2? This isn't the Dreamcast we're talking about here; you can't just throw any old DVD into the PS2 and have it boot.
Think it's either a UK thing or just an odd batch..
NB: Could it be some kind of beta/store demo/other kind of disc?

If that's true, that's absolutely asinine. As if they couldn't just convert the original video from PAL to NTSC.
Also, as a Canadian living in Australia, I love how pretty much every new TV I see here displays NTSC and PAL. I've never seen a TV at home that does this.

Here they are.
As for the lack of cherry red guitars...*sighs*. Oh well, maybe my guitar & game box combo will be a "collector's item" in years to come lol.
*thinks*
Actually, no, whoever bought it would think I broke the cherry red one and replaced it with a new black one, therefore diminishing the value. If I ever decided to sell it, that is.
