So I'm getting laid off in a couple of weeks :( which means I'm back on the job hunt. I can't afford to work a min. wage job anymore so it's probably another web-development job in Vancouver for me. Which I don't mind so much except for moving or commuting.

I am seeing this as an opportunity however, either to start programming in a different field or to find a job as a QA tester for some game company.

My background in development is mainly PHP/MySQL professionally, as in that's what I can put on my resume as actual working experience. However I know programming pretty well, I'm well versed in a few languages, C++, PHP and Python most notably.

Anybody have any suggestion/experiencing obtaining either?

Do not feel trapped by the need to achieve anything, this way you achieve everything.

Oh, hey I'm making a game! Check it out: Dr. Weirdo!
