NES, there are different challenges like one where it connects the dot until you know what the object is.

So THAT'S Anticipation? That game with the awesome box art? "Nintendo's first video board game!"?

    Edit: YES!

According to Wikipedia, it was published in November 1988. I assume that a few drugged programmers made the game a few months earlier.

That game was awesome. I used to play it with my brothers, although some of the words were completely unknown to us since we were young and english isn't our native language.

Despite all the other quality releases from 1988 I used to rent this game all the time.

    I was a dumb kid.

    Virtual Console release NOW!!!

Just kidding. Sort of. I never played it.

Seems like it might be fun, but not five-dollar fun. Still, we know Nintendo has a flat rate (mostly) instead of lowering any lesser-games' prices... double-edged sword, that.

uhh semi-related, but does anyone remember an arcade game where you had to create boxes across the screen to reveal a picture while avoiding stuff? I think it was a Capcom game? It was usually bundled together with a game where you shot at this big bubble things with a grappling hook.

The bubble game is called Snow Bros, I think.
That other one has existed in MANY forms over time. Arcade, Videoway, PC, you name it. I remember it as QIX or QYX.

ah yes, Qix is the picture one.

Snow Bros was the one where you threw snow on an enemy and rolled the snowball. The one i'm talking about you were some sort of explorer with a grappling hook and you shot upwards at these giant bubbles, when you hit it, it would burst into smaller bubbles.

I know of the game, but I don't remember the name. I thought it was Snow Bros, but apparently I was wrong. Bubble Bros?

    EDIT: Super Buster Bros.

It's regularly known as PANG! I think Super Buster Bros. is the sequel or something.

And the picture one appeared in many forms, like Gals Panic, which had scantily clad ladies you could uncover :winky:
