Yeah, just go through each floor as fast as you can. Skip enemies that aren't likely to get you quest stuff, grab treasure if it's not out of the way, hit the stairs as soon as you see them. You'll likely have to go through a range of floors a couple times, but your party won't get tired. The treasure is just a decent bonus on top of the quest completion.
I also combine that with despawning half the monters I come across, but that's just me. I don't think it's possible to fail running away if you're on your player advantage turn.
Oh FUCK YOU Block 3. What the fuck was with that normal enemy. That thing was even stronger than the floor guardian guarding the floor it appears on.
That enemy that looks like a guy in bondage gear on the rocking horse/weird sex torture thing. What the fuck. Strong ice spells, Hama, Diarama, and it's not weak to anything?! And it's not a red enemy on the field?! Fuck that. That enemy can die a million deaths.

Got my ass handed to me by 3 golden bugs. Then I realized I forgot to form my party.
I found that the easiest way for me to get gold enemies was to just call my party over to me and put them on attack. They bum rush it faster than it gets away 8 times out of 10 and then I just move in and hit. You can't get a first attack against them anyway, so it works out fine for me.
I've had this stupid bloody quest to kill a wealth hand in the first block for 3 months (in game) now, every time i go to tartarus i spend at least half my time running around the first block and I never see a single one, its starting to get really depressing =/ thank god it didn't have a time limit

You'll usually run into at least a couple on a run of the first block. The problem is that they go poof so fast if you don't sneak up on them directly from behind, so you have to keep an eye out. I know I've lost lots of chances because I was just barrelling through the halls looking for chests.

You could always try equipping Jack Frost or Yamatano-orochi and just keep using the physical attack. I've gotten by multiple times using the same basic strategy. I just need a damn Persona strong against Darkness so that mudo quits being such a fucking bitch.

I think I had ended up using Mithra or something. I think he nulled all of his attacks. The real problem was my teammates though. I wasn't taking any real damage but my teammates were. And I didn't know of the enemy's existence and brought Akihiko with me. Oh boy, that was smart. And he killed Yukari right off the bat because she was a dumbass who didn't heal herself. So it was me, Akihiko who is weak to ice so he was either wasting turns getting up or healing because I'm one of those players that never uses items, and Aigis. And he just kept healing. Again and again. And I alone couldn't deal the damage. I needed my teammates. I'm still not sure how I won. I think I got lucky and got a critical.
Really my main problem was they should've at least made him a red enemy. That guy deserves it. The actual red enemies on those floors are pushovers.

Well it worked on me - I actually went out and bought him that snack/souvenir he wanted. He thanked me for it after the trip, although I'm not sure if he would have had the same dialogue had I not bought anything :P
Gilder: I've always had Sameal with Posion Mist when I fought the enemy you're talking about. It helps a lot when every action it takes zaps over 200 HP from it.

Get used to the Jotuns. They SUCK. Fortunately, they're always alone, so you can generally know what to expect if you see a small shadow roaming around.

For me, I find getting gold hands to be relatively easy. When I don't currently have a quest involving them in the cue they're relatively rare. But as soon as I accept a quest for them, they show up more often than a lot of people describe. In fact, I end up getting quite a few more coins than the quest requires, which is quite awesome for making teh monies.

Not true
I ran into 3 of them once in Block 6 or Monad. Fuckers had absorb on all phys. attacks and no weaknesses, over 1000 HP and were spamming Mahamaon (and Mamudoon?) like it was going out of style. Jontun of Evil i I think it was.

Alright, once again I'll full up on Persona. Is it a good idea to morph them into something better (to free up slots) or just kick them out since they're in the compendium and I should be looking for new ones?
Persona:
Lilim
Oberon
Unicorn
Jack Frost
Yomotsu Shikome
Chimera
Valkyrie
Main's level is 19.
Also, the 'Shell of a Man' sidequest, I figure it's something I get in the school. Am I wrong?

I always include Mitsuru in my party. It seems that there are always a ton of enemies that do ice damage, which she's strong against. And she's a bitchin' healer. That and she's damn useful for a certain floor boss.
Not sure if this is actually considered a spoiler, but I'll tag it anyway. On floor 98, there's this fucking ridiculous trio of ice attackers. Can cast the strongest ice spells I've seen in my 33 hours so far. That and they boost and can cast reflect. For instance, they can boost and cast the medium damage, party-wide ice attack (which, together, does almost 200 damage to party members that aren't weak to ice). Mitsuru is the only reason I got through that alive. I had my main character healing and reviving, while the rest of the party was pounding away. Barely made it out alive at level 34.

Ok, a bit stuck. I'm on the 5th shadow and while he doesn't straight out kick my ass, I don't see myself winning. I'm training in Tartarus the night before, but I run out of SP.
O rly? And I imagine I won't ever get tired while I'm on this night.
Or at least, I hope not.
You shouldn't. My characters never do. My main leveling strategy is warped to a floor where I know I'll get good experience, fighting my way up to the next boss floor, warping back to the ground floor. Rinse and repeat.

Approaching 252.
So Monad... do I get access to it if I reach the top before 1/31, or is it some 'post-game' thing? Six days to go. I wish I had more time to max out S Links.
Yeah, I only hit up the dungeon on those non-tired nights, and I'm progressing just fine through it. I'm not quite sure what I'll do in December though, when there are no non-tired nights.

I got up to 252 by 1/6 and had Monad as soon as I went back down, so the first one, I'm guessing.
Don't feel bad if you start cackling madly after an hour or so in Monad. The power goes to one's head.

I know in mythology Narcissus was male, but... Narcissus (Persona) has boobies. :P
At least, I'm 99% sure, since when I cast a spell with Narcissus, the camera spins around then right out of the way when... it... raises it's arms.
Yeah, probably. :P Still creepy, either way.

Elizabeth's floor plans are always accurate, with the exception of the Shadow Shards/Crystals. Just keep looking.
If nothing else, you'll eventually get so powerful that the enemies will run from you in fear, making your search much easier.
