I'll be replacing my television with a 42"-46" flat panel later this year, and I'd like to replace the rather ugly stand/shelf combination I have at the moment with a nicer "flat" cabinet (something to set the screen on top of). Ideally, it would be longer than it is tall and have enough room "inside" (shelving) for several game systems, a DVD player and a receiver, and should be open-faced, or if it has doors, well ventilated.
I prefer the glossy black look, but I'd be open to glass/steel or glass/black furniture as well. Anyone recently purchase something similar, or simply notice some A/V furniture that really stood out?
