Wow, you actually did the hard work in 6-5 off screen.

It took me a few weeks when I first got the game to figure that one out.

Yeah that's a little bit confusing. I paused the video because I figured you all knew what I was going to do. And of course pausing let me do it first try.

Well I imagine if I had found a way to break the blocks and go into the pipe near the water it could've extended a bit but yeah, just from start to finish it really is about 20 seconds long. I think it was just to get you used to the annoying little flower chomper guys.

I'd say you're missing the secrets in like 7 out of ten levels. You do know the two secrets that turn Mario 3 easy though; always have a raccoon leaf and take your time.

I don't even know where half the secrets are and just getting through the way I do takes about half an hour per world. If I tried to find everything it would take like an hour each world. Most of the secrets though are just those weird rooms with giant ? blocks or coins though if I recall. Maybe some alternate paths.

It's such a shame they never made a giant fort for giant world, with huge thwomps and a giant [strike]Boom Boom[/strike] Sir Explodesalot at the end.

Also hopefully we get a Coin boat secret at some point. Although we might have missed it already. In fact, come to think of it I've only seen that thing once or twice.

I accidentally missed the coin ship. It doesn't appear after world 6. After I finish, I might just pause the video or something, start a new file, and get it. However I DO have one last chance at the white mushroom house. 7-2 is the last place where I can make one appear so I'll try and do that.

In Super Mario World, the blocks that create a string of coins do not go in the direction your facing. The way you control it is by tapping the direction you want it to go. For instance, if you want it to go up, just press up once. If you want it to go right, tap right button once. Etc etc.

I was going to bitch about how you were still skipping over everything interesting but then you made up for it with the hammer suit airship clear.

Also, the Tanuki statue has more uses. If you turn into the statue as you're falling, you can kill certain enemies that are normally invincible like Boo and those electric waffles that you managed to take care of without jumping on them.

Oh dang that's how you know if there's a secret exit? That makes things so much easier!

Yeah that's how you know. Some ghost houses have secret exits though and they're not red because Nintendo is a bunch of assholes.

I completely scour ghost houses just because I assume that they've got a secret.

The one in the Vanilla Dome confuses and enrages me. There's a secret area, but it doesn't lead anywhere.

Also, I need some help in Star Road. I'm on the very last level. There's like a P switch and a block that shoots out a string of coins. Presumably you're supposed to turn said string of coins into a platform to cross the chasm, but there's a catch; the coins only move in the right direction half the time, if that, leaving you no option but to suicide.

Is there a way to influence the direction of the blocks? 'Cause I'm on my last life.

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet, but if you're on the final Star Road level there's actually a different purpose to this. Once you hit the P switch to turn it into a platform, you're supposed to technically work your way up and right with it, until you hit a string of yellow ! blocks. Follow that along to a string of...green ones, I think, follow that to a string of red ones, follow that to a string of blue ones and the secret exit.

    Also, Gilder, if you won't Let's Play Yoshi's Island I will. :P

What you are supposed to do for that level is hit the block and get the coins started. Have them go to the right immediately and just wait until they run out of time and stop on their own (you will hear the music stop). Then hit the P-switch and viola, you have a path to run on. When you get to the very end of the block, there will be 4 yellow blocks. One of them has a vine that will take you right up to the yellow ! blocks. If you hit all 4 switch palaces, then you should have no trouble getting the key.

I only have 3 lives, and restart at 8-1 when I continune. I can only imagine what it must have been like for Lost Levels on the NES.

EDIT: HAHA I mean SMB2! Yeah I didn't get confused for a second there. No sir.

I'd have liked to put the whole thing of "Mario in the sky with diamonds" but there's just not enough room unless I get rid of "More Mario 3!" and then nobody will know what game I'm on. I think if the whole thing fit more people would get it. I'm sure plenty still get it though and just didn't feel the need to comment on it.

Skip to 8mins in an watch the boss fight. He has to bounce on ghosts to knock a green shell in to the path of a turtle, who'll kick it, so that it spins down and mario can jump on it and throw it at the ghost.

And, lastly, juggling a blue block and a mini yoshi on a moving platform by kicking and grabbing them:

While the boo fight was pretty cool, I think the one in the first Kaizo World is worse. You're standing on a blue block above a pit and there's 3 blue blocks. Your ground is the only way to hurt him. I think he only takes 2 hits though.

Also guys you've probably figured it out by now but there's no update today, sorry. Tomorrow though, definitely. Also I've lost my Big Rigs disc. So uhhhhh I need a new intermission video unless I find the disc. Maybe I'll try Claymates again.

Somewhere out there, someone is enjoying Mario 3. That person is not me. No, it's not me at all. Remember when I said Mario 3 was my favorite Mario? It's not anymore. No. Prepare yourself. Get the popcorn and the soda. The 91 minute long finale of Mario 3 is coming. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll yell angrily at me telling me where to go. Nothing matters though. This is quite possibly the finest display of ineptitude ever filmed.

Also audio may have gotten desynched the tiniest bit but it was the game audio that got desynched which you can't hear anyway. My voice is somehow still synched up. My goodbye at the end gets cut off at "goodb" but I think I hit stop too soon.

Oh I should mention, this probably won't be up until tonight. This thing is almost 600 MB so it's going to take forever to upload. However all of you that wished my soul was crushed more by LL, Mario 3 crushed it in this video. Crushed it to where it was fine powder. Also, do not mention "that" incident, which you shall see. It must be kept a surprise and I do not want to explain my fantastic editing skills involved. Take it, laugh and cry at the same time, and leave it.

The only reason the video is so long is because I'm a complete and utter dumbass who forgot how to do one thing, due to not actually having played Mario 3 more than a few times and because of my inability to move 2 pixels over in one direction. It is completely retarded but I think it'll make for great entertainment. I really need to make up for this video though to show I'm not terrible at everything. Maybe I'll record me doing a run-through of Hell in Cave Story....
