Realized I have never posted here, thought I might pimp myself out a little.
I'm a graphic designer working in Brisbane, Australia at the moment. Did a year at university in game animation, wasn't my thing, more into the freestyle/commercial/conceptual art thing than 3D animation. So I've taken a year off and I'm heading back next year to do a 3 year course in Multimedia to get by ba. That doesn't mean I've been slacking, in fact I've been working my arse off so hopefully I won't have to try so hard when I do get to uni... again...

Went through and pruned my DA account, removing a lot of work and adding some new old stuff. Nothing in there is too recent but that will change next week when I start posting again. Have a few locals that coaxed me back into the community after I suffered a rather large bout of depression and lack of funds.

Some photographic work from 2006:

Some photoshop work from May, spin-off from some commercial work I did. There is a spelling mistake in the first piece:

Some practice digital matte painting, took a few hours for each, no real purpose other than practice. You will have to click to get a larger view, as the images would otherwise break your H-scroll for sure:

is my page, over the next week my more recent work should be going up, at the latest it will take me two weeks. Critique away if you must :).

Cheers
Chris

I can't critique work for nuts, not an artist myself, but from a bystander's point of view, I really like what you've done.

    Brisvegas YEAH.

Like what you've done. Specially the photography, but I think mainly because I don't do the other things and can't appriciate them as much.

Really love the first photo. Can I ask what camera, and what settings you used to take it? Colour is gorgeous.

The colour was adjusted using photo-manipulation, I only have a Nikon D50 with which to work magic. As for the settings, the photo was taken a year ago, so I have little recollection :). Nice to see someone else from Brisbane :D

Still stuck in an age of film, ok here goes, data for the first one reads.

    No flash
    Focal Length: 18mm
    Exposure Time: 1/160 sec.
    Mode: Ap Priority
    Exposure comp: -1.3

No filters or anything use, no artificial light sources, just a cloudy day.

New signature today, made using bits and pieces from a large piece I am working on...
