Seeing as the computer thread may not be where I should've posted this..

Alright, so I have a laptop that's about a year old, Dell inspiron 6400 with some extra stuff I'm not aware was available for it.

Anyway, the thing came with a wifi adapter with that intel PROset stuff. It worked well enough for the last year or so, but about two weeks ago or so, there's been a problem. The intel software won't detect the wireless card for whatever reason. I've learned that having the wireless connection in a bridge causes that in the new version, but as far as I know, I never updated, and it worked just fine for about a year. Not to mention, despite it not being recognized, I could still connect just fine.

Despite that, I thought it may have been a good idea to update my drivers and software so I could fix that.
However, upon installing the new stuff, I have found out that it will outright not work with a network bridge, which I use for access to Xbox live. It turns out they added a feature to the software that conflicts with it, and are not looking for any kind of workaround or fix.

Normally, the most simple solution would be to stop using the intel proset software, and just use windows to take care of it, but I come upon the same problem; whenever I put my wireless connection into a network bridge it will not connect to the router.

Now, my ideas are as follows; find someplace that has an older version of the PROset software available. Or find out why my drivers refuse to rollback.

In other words, I'm kinda pissed off that I can't play with my Xbox online because the developers added a feature that negates my workaround.

As for hardware, I've got an Intel 3945ABG card. And, as I've said, it's worked fine until I screwed it up somehow today.
