Judging from the forums over at Microsoft, there are many of us.

Those who woke up one morning to enjoy a game/TV show or DVD, only to find death.
The three blinking red lights that can cause a man to fall to his knees, tear his clothes and open one of his six mouths to sing the song that. . . wait, wrong universe, but I think you get the point.

Its been 2 weeks now. I am worried though, the online status has never changed to "In-Repair".
Perhaps the most disconcerting aspect is that a couple days after I got off the phone with the unintelligible Indian woman the serial number of the xbox registered under my live account changed to something ending in 6 9s. WTF O_o

The saga continues. Do I blow another $450 because Microsoft fucked me over? (but then they win)
Have any of you great warriors survived the horrific gore of those 3 lights? Is there hope? How long did it take?

There is one guy on the forums with the sig of:
XBOX died 8/14/07
XBOX sent off 8/21/07
XBOX received ???

/sigh

May the wombat of happiness snuffle through your underbrush.

Mine died, called customer service, dealt with helpful customer service person, sent in console, two weeks later I received console. Sure it died which sucks, but I found their customer service regarding it to be very helpful and understanding. Plus it didnt cost me a dime in the end.
