So I want to get a tattoo of my wifes name. I was thinking of doing it in Kanji originally, but upon searching I thought I liked the katakana and hiragana.
I haven't been able to find any decently sized images of her name (Nadia) to print out so I could show the tattoo artist. Can any of you who are knowledgeable in such scripts, help me out with an image?
You can just take your idea to the artist and THEY can create it/draw it up for you. That's kind of their job, they aren't glorified tracers.

Do this. My brother is a tattoo artist. Most artists definitely would like your input or idea, but let them create it. Most artists won't just simply copy your idea onto your body, because they want to put their own creative twist into it.

Guys, read the guys original post. His problem is that he can't find any decent sized pic of the name in katakana. So advising him to just head to a tattoo parlor is kinda pointless, unless the artist is well verse in that type of writing.
To play off that though, if you already have the symbols, then by all means take THAT to the artist. He can try to follow your specifications(size, boldness, etc) and put it together.

Aren't 99% of tattoos some sort of east asian character? I bet most tattoo artists are pros

Pros at what they look like, not their meaning. I don't want Asshole on my shoulder instead of Nadia.
It doesn't matter how big the pic is... if they can make it out, they can recreate it. You don't need it to be the size you want, or the color, you just need something they can see and work off of.

In my opinion it is a bit tacky.

If you want to do it vertically, rather than horizontally, just stack them in descending order, with the leftmost symbol on top.

See how many books I've read so far in 2010
