Sony Ericson W580i Modding

So when I bought my RAZR, I modified all sorts of things including adding my own ringtones, moving main screen info and removing main screen info. I also edited the look of my phone book. Nothing too hard. A friend of mine reflashed his phone to bring in some sweet features and improve the GUI speed.

My question is:
What is the best website for Modding the Sony Ericson Walkman phones? I looked on Google but didn't get any good results. Maybe I suck at the searching.

    Try this site: http://www.howardforums.com/

I'm not sure if it will have what you're looking for, but that's a great place to start.

Also: Which phone company are you with (the one with the modded RAZR)?

I am with Cingular. I modded it using the info from the community at MotoModders or whatever their name is.
One tip though, DON'T buy a RAZR.
The signals for the screen couple onto the audio channels (both mix and speaker) causing a buzzing, hum, or muffling.
This is a flaw that has existed since it came out and has not been repaired. In fact most recent Motorola products exhibit this problem. It tends to show up after a few months of use.

I have the Verizon RAZR, that I purchased because I heard all the modding you can do to it.

Oh dear God I was wrong. Fuck Verizon and their VCAST bullshit.

Reflash it. That will strip it of most of that crap.
Although this might be a problem if they don't have SIM cards since the network won't know you, maybe.

Otherwise switch to Cingular. It has no problem with unlocked or reflashed phones.

It's a known issue with Verizon's RAZR. As soon as I went to the site listed above, they all noted that it's nearly impossible to get your own ringtones, and it's a pain in the ass to put custom pictures.

I just signed up for Sprint and picked up their RAZR. I'm not sure if it's any better than the Verizon version, but I've dealt with it once, I can do it again. Plus $30 a month (on the SERO plan, thanks Evander!) is a steal.
