I didn't know that game existed. I will have to check it out.

It was made in 1998, though, should I expect graphics/AI levels to be on-par with, say, Half Life technology?

It would be nice to have a game with the graphical fortitude and AI abilities of Half Life 2.

If you are talking about Trespasser, it is a buggy piece of shit.

Hey, HEY, Trespasser is actually pretty good if you give it a chance.

I mean, it isn't the greatest game ever, but it has it's moments.

Lots of bugs, and pretty shoddy gameplay though.

Okay look, I'm not gonna sugar-coat it... Trespasser sucks.

Seems like a good idea, but it's definitely not past the point mods reach before it's even likely they will actually be released. It would be interesting, but chances are it will be lost in development limbo. An ambitious project like this on an engine that hasn't been officially released? I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

The ONLY good thing about Trespasser was the physics engine, which was amazing considering the game came out damn near 10 years ago and ran on a P166.

Someone made a map for HL2DM or CS...something Source that was just the big plaza from the first Jurassic Park. It was really well done, down to minute details like the control room with all the computers to the restaurant area and the kitchens. It was just one map though, not any kind of total conversion or mod. It might have been the beginning of this, I seem to remember seeing it at least a year ago.

They also had software bumpmapping (but that in turn made the game run in software mode in times of 3d cards). And all animation was basically ragdolls with dynamically calculated motions (which resulted in raptors tripping over their own feet and their upper bodies moving in an almost disconnected fashion to their legs).

Trespasser, a collection of good/clever ideas where everything went wrong.

These mod makers need to learn to only put their stuff on the web and actually start telling people about it when the mod is either almost done, or is done, not when it's still just a concept.

Ah, Jurassic Park video games. It seems like they should have been a license to print money. How they fucked up action games with such a purely fantastic premise for a decade now I'll never know. Kind of like the actual film franchise.
