Yeah, I know what you're thinking. God.. yet another Let's Play thread, but here I am, adding to the massive influx of LP's for your time-wasting pleasure. Ask a mod if you can get your own. It's fun to watch, and now I've figured the real cool thing about them is that they're even funner to make. (I'm aware there is no such word as funner, stfu) The goal is for me to complete another leg in the adventure of the "red demon" Firebrand every day (except the first day wherein I will upload 2 videos for no good reason at all). The game is a 2d platformer with mild RPG elements for the SNES.. and.. well just read the conveniently placed wikipedia link above.

Blame Ohtsam for showing me how to make this video.

Yay! I've never beaten Demon's Crest before (it's kinda hard), but I have tried it and I liked what I tried (especially the music).

Your commentary is paced pretty well (i.e. no awkward pauses but not spoken so fast that no one can understand you), although sometimes the game sound is louder than your voice which makes it hard to understand you sometimes. Could you raise that volume a bit (or speak louder :P)? Also, your pictures under the man/the legend aren't working. I'm not sure if that's just on my end.

Otherwise, it's a great start to an LP. I'm looking forward to more.

Just a question, did the second vid work for you guys? The man/legend pics work for me, I'll host em on imageshack for ya'll if it's causing problems, no worries. And yeah, the first video is lamesauce, the second ism uch better after I got some sleep and woke up a little. The commentary is much funner and more interesting. Less mumbling and more run on jokes but it's all in good fun.

I guarantee the episodes will get better as I go along

I can't view your second and third spoiler, and I haven't looked at your videos yet, but I loved me some Demon's Crest back in the day. Lots of shit to do, and it was hard as nails. Fuck yeah!

edit: also, every time you got a new form or powerup or whatever, it made you feel like you really accomplished something. At least it did for me. Good stuff.

Man, I love DC. It needs to be on VC. It has some of the best music of the 16-bit era. It's generally overlooked, but I like it as much as Megaman X, probably.

I finally bought this game around 2003 and meant to play through it, but I don't think I got much further than the end of your first LP video. I really hope for a VC release so I can play it a bit more.

Awesome LP thread 4rch and all the awesomerer that it's not edited footage. The best bits so far are when you die. Brings back memories of the frustrations that is platformers. "Oh that's such a bullshit move." was a common phrase back in the day (and still is).

This is one of the best SNES games I ever played. It's hard like Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts, but you actually stand a chance since Firebrand is so awesome.

However, the secret last boss was total BS on par with anything else Capcom has ever raped gamers with.

Oh wow... I'd forgotten about the GB game. I beat Demon's Crest on SNES, including the secret boss. Once. It was the product of at least a month's cooperation with my next door neighbor. Such a fun game. Firebrand is totally sweet, and his Air form will destroy all challengers.

Heh heh, don't feel like you're going slow or anything. If you want slow, check out the DKC2 LP on the SA forums. It's been like 5 months since they've beaten K. Rool and they still haven't finished the Lost World.

Also this game is awesome. I love the title screen music. But the requirements for the real ending are just stupid.
