Foreign language help...what are these people singing?

I get a lot of wrong number calls on my phone for this one particular person. I don't know what language she's speaking, but it sure isn't English. Maybe it's Japanese or Chinese, I can't tell. When she'd call, I used to just go "wrong number" and hang up, like she'd know what I'm saying. They'd then call back immediately, hear my voicemail greeting, and then hang up.

Now she's singing to me. It's weird. RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS, OPEN WITH QUICKTIME: Song 1 Song 2
.

I'm really interested in what she's singing. I'd like to set this as my voicemail greeting (which I'm sure would confuse this lady, along with anyone else who may call me), but obviously I wouldn't want to if she's singing "kill all the blacks and jews" or something.

Well it's quite clearly some sort of Asian language. My best guess is Chinese. It's definitely not Korean or Japanese, and I don't really know how many immigrants come from other parts of Asia (especially in Atlanta, where the overwhelming majority of East Asian immigrants fall into those categories).

There's a lot of Vietnamese in Atlanta too...

But this doesn't come in as a local number, it says "unknown." Though I suppose it could be an unlisted number.

Could it be an international call?

How about next time they call you just ask "where are you calling from"? Or wait until more East Asians log on.

They've been calling me for upwards of a year. I have tried to strike up a conversation in the past, without success. But really, I'm more interested in the song than where they're calling from.

It's definitely not Mandarin Chinese, or Japanese, or Korean.

It doesn't sound like a Chinese dialect either.

I'm guessing Vietnamese, Thai or Laotian, or a language from somewhere around there.

    There being Southeast Asia.
