Team 6 only had three people show up too, but we had some team switches and substitutes, so at least we got two even teams to play... after forty minutes of screwing around.
Too bad the game was wholly disappointing in that we never even came close to capturing a point, much less giving them a run for their money.
Also I apologize for the overall crappyness of my server. Apparently people are getting a lot of "jitters" in animation. But the pings are stable, so I am going to have to conclude that this is Valve's fault. If it doesn't go away prior to release I will have to investigate more.

Despite problems and mismatched teams, we managed to get through a round. Hopefully, things will be more organized tomorrow.
For the record, I really do think an established league would be a very great thing.
Once this is over it'd be neat to get a few more teams and make this a regular outing (we could even have substitute players in reserves to prevent repeats of the same problems).
Incidentally, my money is on the Drunkards for the tournament purely because being thrashed by the overall victors is a lot less shameful.
Well if some sign up/random generating team system can be created then we can create teams on the same day. And it won't be too hard to get people to come on a weekend.

The fact that in essence an entire tournament can be completed in a matter of hours will probably mean that we will be doing this frequently.
I'm willing to help setup the next tournament. Before we get to that point though I'd like this tournament to finish and maybe have a thread discussing what changes we want made before getting started. The main things I see are trying to have teams be balanced and also giving notice about the time/date of matches before people sign up so that we have less people later find out they can't make it.

Later I was moved into a permanent replacement for Pharezon(Fell) but he showed up so I was technically the Rath replacement again. Since he'll be back, I'm teamless for the time being. If a team other than the Drunkards is having player problems I will gladly help them out and hopefully give them a fair shot at beating those alcoholic bastards.
