I gave up on even trying to get Head of the Class. Boycott broken achievements.
edit.. and I'm a crappy spy, but in my experience most people blow their invis way too early. Like they'll cloak before they even step foot outside of their team's territory, so when they run out of cloak juice they're not yet behind the other team. It doesn't matter if the other team sees you running towards their turf, just re-disguise while you're cloaked so their "inc spy demo" call or whatever is invalid. I usually cloak as late as humanly possible then run completely behind people and then start the stabification.
I've been finding playing a defensive spy to be highly enjoyable and far more effective than the offensive variety.
In most cases, attacking groups are more focused on the objective or the horde of sentries in front of them and are less likely to conduct spy checks. Defensive players are paranoid by their very nature and are much harder to deal with. Gravel Pit seems to be especially effective for such tactics.
I just played the hell out of the spy on a pub, and had a blast. Ended up with a massive backstab count and 60 or so points at the end of the round. Much fun.
I either play frontline spy or backfield. Whacking snipers or people running from spawn is awesome, and the disguise only needs to be minimal; its more about taking them by surprise than fooling them. Also, about the cloak: I always use the "same team" disguise to get close so that way they don't expect me, duck in a corner, cloak, and change on the way. Since there's two enterances to most areas, i'll leave out of one and uncloak and go in the other. Much fun is to be had (Not on 2fort though. the whole map feels too cramped for anything but the assault classes when I play).

I got Hardcore earlier..that was exciting. Some of you guys play what I've played in 2 weeks in a few days though so I'm sure I'm nowhere near the first.
I found out something awesome about the Heavy. You can spin up while you're jumping, so you can jump out from behind a corner and begin spinning, then start firing shortly after you hit the ground. So there's less "I'm perfectly still but not doing any good" time.

I've started having dreams about TF2. The last time this happened to the same extent was with Ocarina of Time. It's happened two nights in a row now, and this morning when I woke at 8 after a particularly hairy encounter in 2Fort, I went back to sleep for another three hours and dreamt about the same match.
Usually I hate going to sleep because it cuts in on my precious gaming time. But shit.. dreaming I'm gaming. That basically doubles my gaming time for that day.
The screenshot was taken in the sewer system below 2fort. Part of the Medic's hand and his legs (not his shadow) are submerged. SithDrummer likely has the water reflection or shadow detail turned down, I can't remember which affects pixellation in water.

Oh... so that's why there's no reflection, ripples or any other evidence that it's actually water?

Heard the proposition that RIAA and MPAA should join forces and form "Music And Film Industry Association"?

except for the giant splash of water, and the water droplets flying all over the screen, yes...

No I mean the lines are messed up on his hud, it could be the compression I suppose.
That's strange, because I noticed that in-game the other day. Especially around the rounded corners, most of the HUD boxes were screwy like that. When I played yesterday it seemed to be fixed.
Oh, I suggest everyone switch to minimal HUD, right now. I find it much more enjoyable.
I don't understand why people fear the pyro so much. As a soldier I can take down 2 pyros by myself with no problem. Even with a medic they have a hard time keeping all their limbs together. They're slow, they die quickly and they have shitty range. People forget how good the soldier is.

Well, Soldier is probably one of the best anti-pyro classes innately so...
Pyro's are good for mopping up support classes. Put them up against a soldier or a demoman and it gets a little moe evenly matched,

I had that problem with Head of the Class and World Traveler. Ironicly, they were the hardest achievements for me to get because of the point loss.

One of the most fun nights i've had in a long, long time

you are magnetically attracted to my rockets, sir.

That's...exactly the opposite of irony.
Sorry. I meant that they should have been the easiest to get, but they ended up being the hardest. (This is why I don't post often.)
Cry some more, baby!
That's all I have to share right now. I really wish the hud would disappear though - that shot would have been even more awesome.

But, yeah...7 pyros, 3 medics, and me as a demoman on Hydro. Achievement Unlocked: Relentless Offense. Holy crap it was insane.
Edit: It should be noted that my team all started switching to pyro because the other team was saying how worthless they are. GG
Being a pyro and shutting out the enemy offense
Before the nerf.
Now? Now its just imba. No fun. I want pyros to not be fotm anymore.

That could just be bad jpg compression. :P
It's the minimal HUD.
