My exam's in 2 days, i have only done about 5% of the exam material and to tell you the truth, I'm feeling pretttttty shit.
I can't help but wonder why it has always end up like this, I mean, I can't even count how many times i've been put in this kind of last minute situation and everytime, I would always tell myself, this won't happen again, next time i would prepare myself better!!
Fast forward 3 months to another end of term and i would be in the bloody exact situation.
Any college students out there with similar problems? Advice on how I can change CHANGE CHANGE myself? I've tried in the past 2 fucking years and i've failed miserably

Ask all your professors to put you on an advanced grading scale, where your lowest test grade is your grade for the entire class. No averages. You will have to sign some papers and the decision will be irreversible.
Do this because then you are forced to put 100% into every test, and if at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the experiment will be terminated.

Yes, I do this sort of thing all the time.
I suppose the answer is to figure out what's worked for you in the past.
Eg: It could be agressive time tabling (inneffective for me, though making the tables is fun and soothing), bustling yourself to a library as soon as you wake up, studying your subjects from books that make you want to read them (for Dummies books are funny and pretty good for this), or, if there's nothing out there that you want to read, challenge yourself to write your own revision material in a creative way.
I also hear good things about mind mapping, which my psychologist reccomended me for my own procrastination, though I, er, have yet to actually open the book.
I managed a certain degree of success this summer learning C++ from a dummies book. I started really, really early which irradicated some of the anxiety surrounding last minute work preparation, and tried to find and make it fun by making silly little changes to the programs that amused me.
Or just throw whatever's distracting you out the window (or uninstall it, if that's applicable).
I know where you're coming from. I never figured out a solution, just managed to graduate before it got so out of control that I couldn't muster a passing grade.
Seriously, I came in here out of morbid curiosity expecting to see something I really didn't want to hear about.
Umm, since you can't study a week before the test, try studying all year? Take 15 min after class every day and review what you went over in class. That way when you get down to the exams you only need to review a little and procrastination even then will leave you with a manageable amount of material to cover.

go to library. So easy to get distracted at home and not study.

I don't think we have that here..

I've never done any of those things.. It took me 5 hour today just to prepare and motivate myself to open my text book. Managed to scrape through a couple of chapter before I ran out of stamina. Closed my book in disdain and suddenly here I am..

I know, makes you feel like such a useless twat, don't it? I feel so bad wasting my dad's money ($20k a year ftw) that I'm seriously considering dropping out and become a plumber or something.

Also the best way to teach a kid how to swim is to drop him in the middle of a lake and tell him you'll see him at dinner.
At this point I have to ask is it only school work that you can find motivation for, or is it other areas of your life as well ?
Err.. whole other areas. I have to admit my life's been going downhill lately.. I have lost about 90% of my friends in the past 3 months, i'm only keeping contact with 2 of them and that's only on a weekly basis and I actually hate going out nowadays..
But hey, I don't think this has got anything to do with my school work as it's always been fucked up even when my life was all fine and dandy.
Do you think you might be suffering from depression? You really haven't given enough detail to make a good guess, but having a lot of trouble with motivation and not keeping in touch with friends does hint at the issue.
Is there anything else aside from the studying issue going on in your life?
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

Keep some of your notes or your textbook with you, and read it whenever you have to wait for something. Even if the wait is only 5 minutes or something.
I also recommend mastman's suggestion of taking some time after class to review what you went over. Read the notes that you took. If you don't have time right after class, then do it later in the day... but after class is prob. better as you're already on a roll. If there's no other class starting right after yours you can probably just sit there for an extra 5 minutes (if you don't have anywhere to go) and look at your notes.
I found that this semester I took notes, but I had never looked at them until right before the test. Yikes. And I had a lot to read through. It's a lot better to just reread through each day's notes as you take them, as there is less to read and it's easier to recall what you're reading because you just learned and wrote it down that day.
The library works pretty well, too. I'm very sluggish in doing schoolwork and studying at home, but if I go to the school library during lunchtime or something I am much more diligent. I can't play on my computer or anything while I'm at school, b/c my computer is at home... so I'd rather just use my after-eating-lunch hour to do work.
