Yeah.... so lastnight's episode was pretty damn good.
Its like they were saving the awesome.
I contend that's how it was last year as well. I watched it over the summer on my computer (Having missed half of it on TV and not wanting to jump in till it was all done) and I was not "in" untill about episode 10.
I really think that everyone has a REALLY favorable impression of the first season. At least in my opinion it started out slow as well.

How many of them are awesome lock pickers? It seems like any time they need to get anywhere beyond a locked door, they either teleport through, or blow the door down or cut the door down. But stoop to just picking the lock?

Gambit is an experienced thief, so something tells me a lockpick was probably somewhere in his repertoire.
But when you can punch bad guys so hard that they felt it a week ago, I don't think you need to use doors.
Kaito's killer? Peter.
Adam's accomplice in busting out of wherever the company had him locked up? Peter.
Peter can travel in time, and has pretty much everyone's powers at this point. He could even have been the guy who attacked his mother if he was from a point in the timeline when he didn't remember who she was.
I hate to say I'm pretty sure it's not Peter. Especially after Kensei's whole "I'll kill everything you ever loved" speech.
Now my question
Is it possible that Kensei is an empath like Peter? Maybe he just got his healing ability from someone else and didn't realize it. He would then also be able to use Hiro's power and could use it to stalk Hiro through time

Actually Kenshi's speech about Killing everything Hiro's ever loved add a lot of credibility with the theory that Kaito's killer is Peter. Think about it, Bob said that nightmare man is an agent of Adam Monroe, and that that is how he operates.
Then we find out that Adam is working with Peter or at the very least manipulating Peter, it would not be much of a stress to find out Kaito's killer is Peter.
No, it was suggested that Kensei was an empath in a spoilered post.
But he probably isn't so there was no need to spoiler my response.
If he was an empath, then why didn't he do any of the badass time shiftery that he saw Hiro doing?
My money is on the healing/immortality thing that we've seen him doing already.
They said they locked Adam away for good; My guess is they put Peter into the same facility, and either through an escape attempt on either of their parts, or just hrough having cells close to each other, they met. Adam convinces Peter that the company is teh evil and they help each other break out. At some point the Haitan (likely acting under Ms. Patrelli's orders) captures and wipes Peter's memory, but the Company manages to tag him with the virus.
Not sure who decided to ship Peter to ireland though; though I would guess is was whoever was working against the Company, and to throw the company off, they had McSorley hire some thugs to rob the car.
Why couldn't Adam have killed Kaito? It makes sense.
Dive off a building with him, only Adam gets up and walks away at the bottom~
Because he'd still leave blood and other evidence that'd link him to the murder.
He didn't seem to bleed that much when getting stabbed with a sword, or shot with arrows. And Clair seems to reabsorb her blood unless she actually loses a body piece (for example when her brother staple gunned her hand in season 1).

Spoiler regarding out of show info.
According to Greg Beeman, it was indeed Adam who offed Mr. Nakamura.
Behind the scenes we all freely discuss the actor who plays Adam in both his incarnations. In fact he’s been playing both roles way back since episode 1 when he was naught but a shadowy figure on the Deveaux rooftop.

wow that is a huuuuuge spoiler. i mean, i think most people might have reasoned it out anyways, but still to just come out and say it like that when really it could be a lot of people(even one not introduced yet)
I think it was pretty obvious at this point. I mean, they're not going to go back in time and rip off his hood just so they can 100% show it was him, so they might as well come out and say it and stop people on the internet from killing each other trying to argue it was someone else.
OK, so now at least we can say some shit happened?
Whole post spoiilered in case some fag is still behind
We know where Nathan's imagined scars come from, how he came to in fact not be scarred at all, how Peter's first encounter with Elle went, why she is such a 2D character (lol fourth wall "sorry, I don't have the luxury of being interesting"), how the Shanti virus came to be, that DL's reaction time sucks balls, how Peter ended up shirtless in an Irish container (anyone spot the shamrock as he was running?)
Some questions though:
The music that was playing when Bob approached Nikki the second time, was that sped-up exorcist music?
Was Bob looking at Nikki with unrequited longing in that last scene with them?
Why the fuck didn't Peter fly away, use his TK, stop time or turn invisible instead of running like a girl at the end of the ep? Does the Hatian have to be that close?
Notice that Nikki's pills were all the red/white ones, not the concoction that Peter was getting? Think they didn't give her the anti-depressents or whatever so as to set shit up for her to come in voluntarily?
Mama Petrelli is once again seen touching someone and at once convincing them of her worldview. It was particularly unsubtle this time.
I thought it was a good episode.
The use of the Haitian is a bit lame tho.
I thought he just projects an aura of power cancellation. Not that he can pick and choose who he negates.
Because Elle was closer to the Haitian than Peter and She could still use her powers.. but not Peter?
Bob warned Nikki about side effects in general. I figured Peter's pill concoction was different because his contained pills that deal with those side effects, whereas they just gave Nikki the plain dose to try and push her over the edge.

well, pretty much anytime the Haitian gets his stare on at someone, i'm pretty sure that is selective.
also, he has been with the company for quite awhile it seems, so it is probably a good assumption that he has extremely good control over his abilities.
Bob warned Nikki about side effects in general. I figured Peter's pill concoction was different because his contained pills that deal with those side effects, whereas they just gave Nikki the plain dose to try and push her over the edge.
You're talking like Nikki's pills came from the same prescriber. What makes you so sure that the company was providing Nikki's pills?
When I saw the scenes following that conversation, I figured Nikki decided to get medication from a psychotherapist, independent of the company. Since she wasn't happy with the side effects, the episode with Gina happened which brought about DL's death and Nikki's decision that working with the company was the best.

None of them seem to be fat.
Was he just in the cartoons?
Also, what're the odds that Dip ends up saving the world by curing the virus, not Clare?
